Everything here is accurate, but there's one other thing that brings my piss to a boil when I see the shit Bob says.
Perhaps my biggest problem with Bob isn't just his miserable perspective on everything - I've seen all that before. My other issue is the Bob's takes expose the maddening hypocrisy we suffer through every day and the lack of consequences it enables.
I'm going to post this directly from Twitter's rules and policies, and you guys can mentally reference the violations. So, imagine some of Bob's tweets and see if they're in violation of:
1. You may not engage in the targeted harassment of someone, or incite other people to do so. We consider abusive behavior an attempt to harass, intimidate, or silence someone else’s voice.
2. Wishing, hoping, or calling for serious harm on a person or group of people
We do not tolerate content that wishes, hopes, promotes, incites, or expresses a desire for death, serious bodily harm or serious disease against an individual or group of people. This includes, but is not limited to:
Hoping that someone dies as a result of a serious disease e.g., “I hope you get cancer and die.”
Wishing for someone to fall victim to a serious accident e.g., “I wish that you would get run over by a car next time you run your mouth.”
Saying that a group of individuals deserves serious physical injury e.g., “If this group of protesters don’t shut up, they deserve to be shot.”
3. Using insults, profanity, or slurs with the purpose of harassing or intimidating others
4. Encouraging or calling for others to harass an individual or group of people
Truth is, I could comb through Bob's tweets on any given day and find violations-- and I'm certain these have been reported. Dude should have been suspended a dozen times over, but nothing happens. That shit drives me nuts. Any platform should at least *pretend* to adhere to impartiality when something is blatantly over the line.
But it's this nonsense that permits other freedom from natural consequence. If other people wouldn't catch a ban for it, they'd light his ass up on Twitter all day. If he said the detestable shit he believes in earshot, he'd be dragged out in the street and have his face forcefully introduced to his sweaty asshole. If he stalked women the way he does on Twitter, he'd be fucking arrested.
Remember that our legal system firmly believes innocence until proven guilty. Kyle Rittenhouse had legal defense crowdsourcing nixed and somehow Bob, with the daily verbal harassment as his desired occupation, has a Patreon.
So I completely agree with everything you've said, but I think I might actually despise Bob more for the halo of hypocrisy he exposes within the system.
