Hillary wouldn't have done what Robert wants because Hillary isn't stupid enough to believe that literally destroying the global economy would prevent COVID from infecting Americans. None of her advisers (who would have been the same Fauci and Birx types that Trump relied on, they are career bureaucrats not political appointees) would have suggested this because they aren't that stupid either and they're the type most
inclined to massive public health measures. None of her political advisers would have suggested it because they aren't that stupid, especially during a re-election campaign which 2020 was and would have been. (We'll ignore the fact that the President doesn't even have the power to do it in the first place. Nor will Robert entertain the likelihood that Hillary would have had a hostile house of Congress that would have never gone along with it, considering the real life hostile to Trump Congress didn't go along with his desires including Democrats FILIBUSTERING (to note a Robert hobby horse) the bipartisan CARES Act. A hostile House alone impeached him twice during the pandemic!)
But even all these undisputable facts, which Robert doesn't believe in because he can forever cling to a fantasy that an alternate reality where Hillary wins simply doesn't have COVID at all let alone a need to do the insane thing he wants that would have killed even more people globally, is not what drew my eye in that rant of his:

Instead it was the fact of this entire rant is that voting is not ENOUGH, that "after that is work" and you need to "work towards what [you] know is right" and "You'd better be doing SOMETHING better than bitching about it" while admitting he has done nothing for Joe Biden or the Democrats ("Never so much as put up a sticker for the man") but vote as he would have no matter what and then bitch about it.
All Robert does is bitch on Twitter about other people on Twitter, run blind defense of anything Democrats (and their allies) do based off of headlines he sees on Twitter, votes lockstep for the Democrats in general elections in a state they dominate (except the Governorship), and make YouTube videos about popular movies. Yet he feels politically relevant enough to lecture others, often activist types who probably do more and are probably people who actually fought in the primaries that Robert ignored except to whine about Bernie Bros, on what THEY should be doing which is... well... "the work" which apparently consists of never criticizing Democrats and wishing instead for an utopian alternate universe where Hillary won and the SUPERIOR FUTURE was already upon us. (While he lectures "they want an alt-reality ... where [they] can vote for what [they] WANT to just happen" rather than the reality of simply voting and doing "the work" of bitching on Twitter I guess.)
And in the middle of this incoherent gibberish he proclaims that "we've ALL got that blood [of COVID victims] on us, because none of this shouldve gotten this far" which is a call to what exactly? I presume, given that it's Robert, it's a call for OTHERS to literally murder suspected Republicans and Republican-adjacent minority populations until they stop existing. Voting defensively to "not die" is not a strategy, not in Robert's fantasy where his perceived enemies are all killed by the state and not even when Democrats like Joe Biden who promised to "shut the virus down" have done nothing and instead have seen the death toll hit numbers higher than under Trump and the GQP. Robert's rhetorical ploy is to shift everything in the debate BACK five years to 2016 and chastise people who most likely voted for Hillary for not doing more to support Hillary. Like say storming the Capitol to prevent the Electoral College votes from being counted, filing 70+ lawsuits to try and block the votes in states or maybe organizing some kind of mass strike rejecting the election results and doing "the work" to #RESIST Trump and the GQP for four years, I don't know. He's very unclear on this. He's never outlined what should have happened and never will.

These are people who have been told by people Robert worships and tries to emulate that simply replacing Trump and the GQP was enough. That finally everyone had agreed to take down Trump and then usher in the SUPERIOR FUTURE. So it happened (even despite that nefarious Electoral College which alone holds back the SUPERIOR FUTURE) and Joe Biden is President. The Democrats have the House and Senate. And yet now they're told as Robert himself says "[Voting for Democrats won't get you anything,] the world is on fire and everyone sucks."
And Robert further goes on to admonish them for wanting things they were promised. Demanding instead that they do "the work" beyond voting for Democrats. Which he never outlines other than saying to vote Democrat or "die" while smugly patting himself on the back for having been the person to finally, after a century of inter-party conflict over this very debate, put The Left in their place and outlined a viable strategy for the SUPERIOR FUTURE: You could have stopped all bad things if you had just done your part and let Hillary win, so vote Democrat and shut up.
