I love that they talk about Batman being Jewish, and even though his mother is/was, I remember a video I saw of Chuck Dixon who mentioned that it was a debate a bunch of the Batman writers had about what his religious upbringing was. I forget what Chuck had originally said he thought it was but in the end he said that he was convinced by the other writers that Batman was a Catholic.
Because of all the guilt.
the thing is, Batman being technically Jewish would only work if Martha's mother was Jewish. It wouldn't matter of Martha's father was Jewish, if the mother was not also. (and that's also assuming Martha didn't end up converting to Judaism if her mother wasn't Jewish)

Reminds me of when Detective Briscoe was accused of being Jewish on an episode of Law & Order:
"My father was, my mother wasn't, and I was raised Catholic."

"What "burning down neighborhoods"? You mean the Wendy's?"

Amazingly Robert doesn't have the dumbest tweet in this thread (although his notion that a neighborhood has to have a multifamily housing unit in it is highly questionable) as that goes to the guy who seems to think only "franchised businesses and tax-dodges owned by upper-middle-class men" were damaged in the riots. It's all okay to him as "no one's house was touched. Just their profits." A very handy cope for the type of person who would rather not deal with the damage done to minority owned businesses during riots purported to be for the aims of achieving racial justice.

These are the same tards who ask the dumb rhetoric question: "Why do you care more about buildings than lives?", as if BLM were Médecins Sans Frontières.

When they say deaths involving X, do they mean people who died with X or people who died by X? Because that strikes me as a pretty important distinction.
You have to pump those numbers up somehow.

Without getting too political it depends on the doctor. I have know both the hystrionic "those numbers are way too low, everybody is a carrier, etc" to the ones that have confirmed their hospitals have mandatory weekly Covid quotas (like parking tickets).

The most reasonable ones always say that it's the comorbidity that kills you, Covid hypercharges it or whatever. Now how far do comorbidity extends? Biggest risk groups are, of course, the elderly simply because of old age. So if some old folks die and the doctor can write in the report "possible contact with a potential covid carrier" that's listed as a Covid death. It became especially ridiculous when the asymptomatic carrier was an existing population group. That means that everyone was a manchurian candidate as far as socialized medicine was concerned.

In the end it's easier to half-ass a medical report, as long as the quotas are met and some reports were, "the deceased's nurse was so and so, the caretaker was so and so but she made eye-contact with her grandson through a glass window which is the defacto cause of death".

It's been almost 2 years and the doctor's attitudes have greatly changed. More than half of them just said, "fuck it" and are living a completelly normal life where I'm from. They are obligated to give you the security detail of washing your hands and staying home if you have a runny nose but...they tell it to you like a blockbuster employee (see? I could tie this back to the Chipmans) telling you to please rewind the tape when you return it.

Finally, the Kool-aid doctors that I know have self-isolated this Christmas Eve and are still yelling at the clouds.

tl;dr Bob fat and his fatness, diabetes and bloated liver are real risks that can be severelly accentuated by Covid.

These are the same tards who ask the dumb rhetoric question: "Why do you care more about buildings than lives?", as if BLM were Médecins Sans Frontières.

Weren't they called the Diamond Dogs before?

Die Another Day is not some obscure forgotten film, I'm not sure why this person is acting like it is. MovieBob must attract orbiters that are even more ignorant of film and pop culture than he is.
And Rosamund Pike's cleavage isn't that obscure either. They're also ignorant coomers, which is a whole new level of sad.

(I was going to make a joke here that she's probably wearing a low-cut dress in her Wikipedia picture so Bob should already know, but then I found out she wasn't - at least until I switched languages and realized the English Wikipedia used a cropped photo. )

"It's ABSOLUTELY true that a lockdown would've stopped COVID before" - A Thinker.
The problem is, "lockdown" is like "communism" - the perfect version that is pitched to us as the easy solution to all our problems is not possible and CAN NOT ever actually be created due to the fact both rely on large groups of people NOT behaving like people always have: autonomous sentient beings, but as a hive-mind holding up to one ideal (naturally, Bob thinks himself to be this ideal).

There's too many "leaks" in any quarantine for it to work with 100% efficacy because someone's gonna forget a mask, or forget to wash hands, or go outside for some piddly reason when nobody is looking..... to break it. Just like there's too much variance in what individual people want out of life to ever be able to unite them in service to state and comrade, there will always be dissident, trying to crush that dissident creates more, feedback loop ensues, state collapses into totalitarianism.

Of course, Big Thinker Bobby casts these concerns aside as the impatient mewling of a cat wanting to go outside: it's not for the lesser lifeforms to decide their fates.

Quintessential believer Bob who reads an excerpt from a headline and isn't curious enough to read it but feels confident enough to comment on it.

The French law basically will put the unvaccinated back to a milder form of the original quarantine. There is a means of getting around having a vaccine if you have a COVID test which gives you 72 hours to go to bars and restaurants without the passe sanitaire. That is going to be taken away. There's also the fact that the passe will expire after a certain time if you don't get the third jab but that's neither here-nor-there since the vaccinated will get it and the unvaccinated won't anyway. There's no curfew coming back like last time, no Attestation d'habilitation. They just can't go to bars and restaurants unless your enough of a local that they don't check you anyway.

It's basically no different than an establishment getting a fine for serving underage people, i.e. unless a copper walks in and starts asking for passe sanitaires you're getting away with it, and plenty of places are willing to risk the minute chance of getting hit with that fine in my experience. In all my time in England and France I've only ever seen that happen once. They'll still be able to go to essential services shops, which in French style includes the bakery and the tabacco shop... but also basically every store tbh since none of them ask for the passe.

I mean it's not good, but it's not the slam doonk against the unbelievers like Bob thinks it is. Most French unvaccincated that I've met are lefty nature types.

Greenwald doesn't pretend that the Capitol protest never happened. He just doesn't go along with the disinformation pushed by the media and the Uniparty that it was a totally real coup and that some boomers reading Nancy Pelosi's mail was the same as Pearl Harbour.

The reason the protest still scares these people is not because they hate the thought of anyone breaking the law, but because it showed them that their power doesn't extend outside the beltway and that Trump's movement, regardless of what you think about Trump, had far much more support than the left could ever drum up.
The reason lefties say Breadtube glows is because their hatred is directed at the same targets the elites hate. When some Antifags burn down a church and when Vaush cheers them on, who are they harming? Christians, sure, but not the elites. The elites don't care about whether that church burns, or whether that host gets desecrated, or whether that old lady with a rosary standing outside an abortion mill gets beaten up. The elites care about whether their Amazon warehouses get burnt and whether their houses have mobs of mostly peaceful protesters outside them.

If Breadtube and the DSA were truly revolutionary organisations, they'd be leading an army of armed rednecks, Latino farmworkers and "inner city youth" to Silicon Valley. Instead, they dunk on all of those groups while praising AOC the grifter and Pelosi the insider trader, and while spreading the elites' propaganda that turns the redneck against the farmworker and the "inner city youth". It doesn't take a genius to work out whose interests it's in to make people like that replace actual revolutionaries in the US.

So, mega sperging here but neither Catholic nor Jewish make a whole lot of sense for Batman. The Waynes came to Gotham very early, of presumably English stock. If not Puritan, then they would likely be Anglican. If Gotham is New York (and it usually is, in some sense), Catholic immigrants would not become particularly prominent until the Irish and Italians arrived and would be, again, the poor immigrants rather than the old, wealthy families.

Of course I'm happy to ignore all of that for the sake of gothic imagery and taking Chuck Dixon at his word as he's my favorite comics writer.

Yeah he got married, I remember the bachelor party episode because it was one of those that seemed to always be on.

But Bob hasn't watched the show in decades, he never goes back to check things when doing a retrospective look, he just assumes his own memory is sufficient enough. Like when he wrote that "Top 15 South Park episodes that don't hold up" article that got plots and the messages of the episodes wrong. I doubt he watched the show all that often because compared to what was coming out at the time, Home Improvement was kind of meh and kind of blends in with the other sitcoms of the late 80s/early 90s. The only thing that stands out to me is those scene transitions because those have not aged well.
For what it's worth, Home Improvement is more enjoyable than Friends.
Excellent points.

Now that I think about it, do any of the legacy characters from DC or Marvel have their own rogue galleries? Do any of them have an archenemy?
Nightwing has a few like Deathstroke, Lady Vic, Shrike. I would say he's the exception to the rule though.

So bob, if i get the majority of america to vote on it, you would be okay being deported to madagascar? Or is that not "the right" kind of democracy?

Gotta love bob embracing democracy because he assumes that a majority vote will get him what he wants.

Now...who counts the vote?

I'm fairly certain that a variant of Bob's idea of "democracy" (don't let the stupids vote) could be presented as "If you think bleks/PeeOhCees/troons/gheys aren't people, you don't get to vote". He'd be surprised just how many "MAGA CHUDs" actually, in fact, do think those groups are, le gasp, people. However he'd insist they're lying and minecraft them anyway.

An awful lot of Bob's seething hatred is pure projection: he himself is far more disdainful if not outright hateful than the people he accuses of being such.

Tracey: Dems are obviously using the Boomer Rush Day as a cudgel to become increasingly authoritarian.
Fat faggot: So what? They're the good guys upholding Democracy.
Curious onlookers: There is a party that openly attempts against democracy, and it sure ain't the GOP. Look at these things openly stated by DNC bigwigs and--
Fat faggot: But those are GOOD things! They will lead to the complete elimination of people I don't like and the implementation of a totalitarian regime that will give me moral victories over my projected enemies!
Everybody that still retained some modicum of common sense: *facepalm*
Rando: Y'know what? You're not here to be reasoned with, because you don't function on reason anyways, so I might as well post your embarrassing pictures once more to show the world what an utter subhuman you truly are.

Moviebob: "I don't care about the residents. Are the chicken nuggets OK?"

Ted Cruz eats crow for calling Jan 6 "a violent terrorist attack". If only Bobby -- or AOC for that matter -- had Cruz's humility.

Are you actually going to put some salad in that pile of dressing-drenched bacon, Bob?

Has there been any point in time at which Moviebob wasn't an asshole?

Bob, this is why if you were born anywhere a dictator actually came to power you would be giving him full throated support. You don't want freedom. You belong in some Kongolese third world shithole run by some warlord because that's where your politics align.
We all know the only thing you ate off that salad bar was the croutons and pudding. Hell, that's all anybody ever ate, that's why Wendy's got rid of it.

Another joyless faggot spewing hot takes on Twitter. What are we up to, number 231,783,216,956?
Um...yes. Most anime in fact. But to answer Lolwutburger's question, the only ones I know of that fits that bill is Bludgeoning Angel Dokuro-chan and Love Hina. Maybe Tenchi Muyo, but I didn't watch that one much.
Sammo Hung is NOT fat. He's a big man, yes, but you may notice his gunt doesn't hang over his waistline. Besides, we all know seeing fat martial artists only inspires Bob to eat more and NOT practice martial arts.
