There actually already are privilege calculators out there that academics and think tanks have tried to produce to try and help white people (especially men) realize their privilege through meeting them on what are considered white male terms (like rationality, empiricism, metrics, etc.) but none of them are as good as the meme somebody just randomly made and which was likely being referenced:


The inherent problem is, and Bob would find this out immediately upon trying to share such a project with the outside world, that no calculator would ever be acceptable by the social justice groups because the entire point is to find ways to place yourself (or at minimum, the groups) above anyone else so as to automatically dismiss what they say as coming from a privileged standpoint and thus invalid. A more specific empirical problem is that Bob already skips all the intersectionality steps by filtering everyone into two groups, person (2%) and not a person (98%), and dismissing appropriately. This framework exists to get around what would be Bob's biggest problem in trying to create such a calculator: what almost every social justice group would agree on is that Bob, a housed college educated straight white cismale "self-employed" in a media field born in America is close to being the utmost privileged entity possible by all standard rubrics and the cause of all problems and thus the worst person in the world to create a privilege calculator because his mere existence alone disqualifies him from being able to do such a calculation from a place of non-privilege.

I think a lot of people forget that underneath all that social justice posturing, Bob is an extremely creepy, sexist person himself. The way he talks about women he finds attractive goes beyond awkward or cringe. It's genuinely uncomfortable to listen to.

If you want a genuine example of what objectifying women sounds like, as in reducing women to just their sexual characteristics, even going so far as to compare them to meat or exotic commodities, ignore the bullshit on twitter. Just listen to the first minute or so of his Jennifer's Body review and the way he talks about Megan Fox.

What I think is most interesting is that the way he phrases a lot of these types of encounters in his videos and now on twitter, they're all taken from pop culture. Like his repeated fantasies of being the Last Man on Earth with various female celebrities (which would obviously guarantee that they fuck him, because of...the implication, I guess), or frat-cheering over girls making out (because softcore lesbian smooching is the hottest thing ever), or having hot celebrities feed him food (of fucking course, hit two birds with one stone, right Bob?). These were all bits you'd see in comedy movies/sitcoms from the 80s/90s, and it just comes across to me like an autist who has no real understanding of proper relationship dynamics due to having little to no personal experiences to draw from trying to act out the way that media said was okay. The irony that Moviebob then accuses gamers and other people of taking the exact same awful lessons away from media so that it warps their perceptions of what's acceptable should be lost on no one.

Megan Fox's backlash started way, WAY before the transformers 3 beef shit, she was already getting shit during transformers 2 and got worse on Jennifer's Body, which came 2-3 years before the debacle on transformers 3.

And while I do agree that the backlash against Megan Fox got out of hand, with a bunch of frustated dick pullers like Robert venting their virginal frustrations on girl that was cool to do, and make no mistake, it wasn't because of Michael bay "douche bag cinema" that led these assholes to go after Fox, they did because it was "okay" to do it.

And the reason on why it was "okay" to bash Megan Fox was that the woman wasn't a very likeable figure, she was known to snob fans, treat co-workers badly and have quite the diva attitude, and the paparazzi media of the time drove this hard because it sold well and the image stuck. Looking back, it all seems like a over reaction for sure, but the backlash Megan Fox got, even from out boy Robert here, didn't came out of thin air.

Of course the extra vitriol Robert went in on calling out Megan Fox came from the same place all his Robert's grievences come from, a deep seated resentment for not having what he thinks he deserves to have.
