He is disingenuous as always; I want to pinch his sweet lovely face.
This one's pretty good. Bob doesn't bother to read the thread or Coffin's tweets, decides to guess at Coffin's point anyway, gets it 180 degrees wrong, remains smug about his all-knowing brilliance.

I unironically love how this thread has devolved into fa/tg/uy Shadowrun autism.
Does Bloberto read his thread? Will we be treated to some Shadowrun refs from him?
I doubt Bob even played Shadowrun on his beloved SNES, and he certainly never played any roleplaying games with friends. Even if there are solitaire Shadowrun books (I never saw any, but I don't know), Bob wouldn't even play those. He wouldn't even read a novelization. He's probably heard of Shadowrun a few times in relation to videogames and decided to reference that rather than Cyberpunk because his insane followers think Cyberpunk 2077 is transphobic.

Edit: I decided to check.

When Mike Pondsmith made the Cyberpunk RPG in 1988 I doubt he was "[whipping his] *entire* cock out ... as though [*his*] franchise now owns the *entire* genre name" which had only come into being a few years before. But maybe that's just me.

Moviebob: "Harassing service workers is something we should [...] punish [...] severely."

Also Moviebob: "It is the moral responsibility of every decent Texan who even gets so much as a *head cold* [...] to [...] cough ALL OVER Greg Abbott from now until he ends his term."

Again, Moviebob's lack of moral consistency here is glaring.

To be a grown-up is to learn to see the world in black and white; to be a grown-up is to be MovieBob.

Doesn't "define an action's right or wrong by broad binary idealism" contradict Bobby's maxim "No Bad Tactics"?
Wouldn't surprise me. Moviebob's positions on (_insert_matter_here_) have always been built on a foundation of political convenience, not any steadfast principle.

If I ever typed out wanting to "pinch" Moviebob's face, it would be the result of me mistyping an I instead of the U.

If he paid attention beyond grade school he'd have realized not all germs work the same way.
Moviebob is vaccinated. Moviebob still has a terrifying fear of contracting COVID-19 despite being vaccinated.

Due to Moviebob's refusal of facts and reality, this would mean Bobby is subtly suggesting that he struggled through his science and math classes during elementary school, in addition to his perpetual failure in learning about U.S. history.

How about Nobody vs Not-Persons?

He reminds me of a little boy who just discovered masturbation.
Questionable phrasing with "remember when you weren't a person?" Does this suggest that whomever Bob is speaking to actually is a person?

No, it isn't. It's perfectly in keeping with "no bad tactics, only bad targets." You can do anything to the Obsolescent if it hastens their demise, and anyone Bob hates is fair game for any indignity, no matter how vile. For me, the Rosetta Stone to Bob's worldview is the video where he distinguishes the difference between Jack Thompson and Anita Sarkeesian as being purely one of politics and who had more acceptable motives. Track it down if you can (surely someone in this thread knows the one I mean) and note not just his tortured, muddled thinking but the sheer smugness he radiates at the idea anyone might honestly see similarities between two people whose end goal (censorship of videogames) was essentially the same.

"No bad tactics, only bad targets" might be the most honest thing Bob has ever said.

Bob of course thinks any fetus isn't a person, so that comeback isn't quite the pwn he thinks it is. So literally, at one point in his existence, Bob wasn't a person according to his own definition. Any idiot can read what he said "remember when you weren't a person" and simply refer back to, hey, fetuses aren't people, so yeah (but the person wouldn't remember 'not being a person' because in the vast majority of cases, nobody remembers shit until like maybe age 2 if you're LUCKY, ironically enough, so you can only remember being a person), but this also applies to Bob. But presumably Bob intends it to mean, the person wasn't a person five seconds ago, and continues to be not-a-person.

Thank you for cutting my effort post off at the legs. Today hasn't been a good day for my 'tism on the Bob Chipman thread. Anyway...

Just going to point out Shadowrun was such a cult classic even plenty of died in the wool Shadowrun fans didn't know it was a thing until Returns came out and people realized the entire engine was basically taken wholesale from an older IP. I heard the Sega one was an actual classic, but I never owned a Sega or played that version. Still, the rebooted games didn't land with the general public much (probably because it played like bootleg Fire Emblem) so it didn't get the renaissance that Dawn of War gave to 40K.

I'm really over this idiot pretending every creative giant in history is a crayon-eating coom-brained retard like him. Shakespeare, like most script writers even today, based most of his plays on books he read. Also, I want to see Kirby's pitch notes for the Invisible Woman. I really do, because if that's how he sold Marvel's (or was it Image at the time, don't remember) execs was THAT...well, never meet your heroes I guess.
You absolute fucking retard. How, in ANY way, are those two examples any different?! I'm stopping here before I effort post again, this is legitimately pissing me off.

Balding, plus being overweight and the beard. These make him look older than he actually is, if he shaved his head but kept the beard and hit the gym he would actually look younger!... I would put more faith on him not getting laid more due to his personality, with him being a colossal asshole with narcissistic delusions of grandeur, than on his looks.
Fat people of either sex, and people who look old for their ages, regularly get laid. Bobby can't because he can't help giving out creepy incel vibes out of desperation.

Say what you will about Coffin, at least he landed on a piece of prime estate and kept her for years. Bobby attempted to chase a much fouler (and equally mentally ill) board and failed.

Bobby's sore about an eminent director sneering at MCU. Must be a day that ends with -y.

If Cooppla has earned his say, how about Scorsese?

Let's turn to something less confusing for Bobby: Michael Bay.
Bay.png

I guess the reason why Bobby loves James Gunn is that his irrelevant schtick was almost the same as Adam West's, just with "grown-up" stuff like gore and gay sex. Here Roberta Cassandra Chipman makes another prophesy.

The SEGA Genesis game is a genuine classic and the Matrix part of the Genesis version is really well done. Also some people (me included) are annoyed that the SEGA CD version never got translated. I don't know if it's a classic or not but it looks really good from the little I've seen of it. I doubt Kirby thought that about the Invisible Woman, I'd have to see the entire quote where he did, it sounds like MovieBob read some analysis of Kirby's work, half understood it and quotes what he came up in his own mind as dogmatic fact. We can tell this because MovieBob is an idiot who thinks that Shakespeare's only interest in Richard the Third was what kind of sexcapades he got up to. Yes, MovieBob, Shakespeare only cared about who Shylock was fucking, that's why he wrote the Merchant of Venice.

Slob calling CANADIAN truckers protesting in Ottawa "MAGA trash" when they are CANADIAN not American and most likely the majority of them do not give two single fucks about American politics. Correct me if I am wrong but did Bob not claim at one point he was a citizen of the world or something along those retarded lines. If that was the case he would know Ottawa is in another country and it is none of his fucking business. Geography motherfucker learn it!

When will people finally learn from the teachings of a puppet voiced by Frank Oz? :(
In a universe full of overrated characters, Yoda is probably the biggest one of all. Nothing he says is really all that insightful, and although I'll get pilloried for this, it was shown in the prequels that he really isn't the wise old master he appears to be. He's too stubborn and cautious to have achieved true wisdom. He was a great Jedi Knight, but as a teacher his rigidity and unbending reliance on dogma didn't really take his students needs into account. It's implied that method of teaching was what gave the Empire enough of an edge to almost completely genocide them in between the Clone Wars and A New Hope. I can guarantee that the reason he told Luke "Unlearn what you have learned" is because he considered Qui-Gon Jin, and by extension his student Obi-Wan Kenobi too much of a loose cannon to properly train Luke. Hell, he told Luke his attachments would guarantee he would never defeat Vader let alone Palpatine, yet it was because of his attachment to Vader that Anakin was redeemed and Palpatine was defeated.

My point: tourists miss the point of movies so hard and idolize versions of characters that don't exist.

Bob isn't unique here for a change. If there's one thing Twitter has opened my eyes to, other than troon shit, it's just how many people absolutely refuse to believe in the possibility of unintended consequences. (While also believing in mass secretive unconscious conspiracy theories but I digress.) Like I can't even fathom how I would explain to Bob the simple logic of something like "no, Congress should not give President Biden the authority to put political enemies in Gitmo because what if Donald Trump wins in 2024?" Bob would just reply to that with "well, put Trump in Gitmo then" or some other statement about how you simply just prevent bad people from using the tools you've provided them. Or to use your example, you just don't let Jack Thompson censor, only Anita. Your concerns were silly and easily solved.

Look at how Bob responds to the few challenges he's gotten over his COVID Endless Lockdown Theory, does he contemplate that the good intentions of "ending COVID forever" may not be better than mass starvation and death? No, he responds "robots" and calls it a day. The lack of these robots and their ability to carry out the tasks he desires doesn't enter the picture because he intends them to do so and it's frankly baffling that people don't already have them there. (Naturally, sinister forces are likely denying the achievement but I digress.)

He's a Thinker and he grapples with these ideas at a higher level than most, that's why everything is so obvious to him. Things like nuance and cost/benefit analysis are for people who don't get the answer right the first time.

It makes sense if you think about it as meaning "draconian powers for me but not for thee".

To Bob, "MAGA Trash" is shorthand for "right wing Nahtzee bigots residing in ANY country". It matters not to Bob that the truckers are Canadian, because in Bob's mind if they lived in America and were Americans they'd have voted for Drumpf in a heartbeat. And since Bob is full Globohomo glowtarded, he thinks that since borders shouldn't exist, the MAGA concept can be applied in places that are technically outside the borders of the United States of America.

”The Game Overthinker” doesn’t know that Mark Wahlberg’s mentor character is from the video games and not a studio note.

Imagine my shock.
His "problematic mentor" label for Sully is really something. It's really ironic if you think about it. He's complete perv whose only contact with a woman was probably "accidentally" bumping his gut into a chick's ass while she was bent over. Sully's just an old salt who has been around the block several times in more ways than one. Who really is more "problematic" here?

But maybe Bob really is on to something. With Neil Cuckmann overthrowing original series director Amy Henning, I wouldn't be surprised if he came out in the future and said Sully was an old misogynist, racist, etc.
