I dunno, I don’t need to see all of Cuties or Space Jam 2 to know it sucked shit. The last 30 mins of each isn’t going to suddenly convince me it’s amazing.re: Bob's response to the dog fucker

I could see it going either way. Nothing wrong with a viewer walking out of a shit movie, but a reviewer's job is to watch a film and analyze it. If every review amounts to "I hated it so much I couldn't sit through it" you're not really doing a good job of it.I dunno, I don’t need to see all of Cuties or Space Jam 2 to know it sucked shit.
True, though “it was so bad I literally couldn’t sit through it.” is a pretty damning statement on its own.I could see it going either way. One hundred percent this. Incredibly strange people listen to my thoughts on games. And there's nothing quite like me telling them I quit it. In the same sense of telling them I would replay it. I think comparing a film to a game is a bit different. As I firmly believe few video games end super well. Usually because of that whole gameplay chestnut. Things like last levels and last bosses can sour a pretty good game. And then really what's the call there? Is a game bad because the last level sucked ass? Especially because I'm pretty fond of strategy games. It's not like I need to play the last mission to really culminate something like Command and Conquer. Or all the scenarios in Rollercoaster Tycoon. Like do I judge the game on the scenarios or the gameplay?True, though “it was so bad I literally couldn’t sit through it.” is a pretty damning statement on its own.
I’ll say it’s not a problem if it’s an occasional thing, but if you’re doing it like every couple weeks, then it’s a bad look.
I would say a critic's primary job is to say whether something is worth watching/playing/eating or not. It doesn't really matter the particular industry. It can be acceptable to say you didn't finish something and say "avoid it, it sucks" as long as that is made clear.I could see it going either way. Of course this is also correct. Sometimes you get something you can't deal with, but it's just laziness if you don't make it through at least most of the time.True, though “it was so bad I literally couldn’t sit through it.” is a pretty damning statement on its own.

He never will. He's nothing without his GoogleFu for one and he can barely articulate tweets for another, so he would only break down into incomprehensible Kamala Harris-like word salads when forced to defend himself in real time.Has moviebob ever actually debated someone?
Its one thing to tweet a bunch of crap since you can just ignore and not respond to counter points , but to actually have to defend your ideas and statements in real time.
It still boggles my mind how Bob's head can be so fat and yet his cheeks are so sunken in like that. It's uncanny.Bob is a potato.View attachment 3074025
He is what is colloquially known as 100% bitch made in these here rust belt parts of america. There is weeks old road kill that has more back bone than boberto. Can someone who understands Twitter explain to me why this retard never just replies to people but always quote tweets?
He wants his angels to be able to pile on whoever he is quoting. He is a coward and needs his personal army. Can someone who understands Twitter explain to me why this retard never just replies to people but always quote tweets?
One of the things YMS said he couldn't sit through was six minutes long. You can't make it through six minutes, you pompous idiot? He's just such a miserable person. On Movieblob side here over dogfucker.
Moviebob is totally right if your job is to review movies then do your fucking job and watch the full movie. Dogfucker is like the game journos who don't beat games before reviewing but at least the game journos can point to some games being 40+ hours plus while dogfucker only has to watch a 2-hour movie. If you don't want to watch all of a movie then don't review it.
If Movieblob was bitching about just normal people doing this I would be also mocking him but he is talking about someone who is failing at their job and makes it pretty clear that is what he is talking about.
Hell must have frozen over for me to agree with moviebob.
I don't use Twitter either, but from my understanding, a quote tweet only shows up in your feed, while a reply is part of the original thread. The former will not notify the OP, while the latter will. Thus, Bob quote tweets people when he wants to reply to them, but doesn't want their followers blowing up his mentions. Basically, anyone he disagrees with/hates gets his version of the silent treatment in the hopes that they won't notice his comments, and he can continue to hide behind his shield of smug superiority. Can someone who understands Twitter explain to me why this retard never just replies to people but always quote tweets?
It also doesn't help that even if Bob has a point, it's immediately undermined by the fact that he makes up his mind about a movie before he watches it.With regards to the whole Adam thing, my opinion falls in the middle (yep, I'm being a damn fence-sitter). Generally speaking, yes, if you're intending on being a film critic in any fashion, you should probably aim to finish the majority of the movies you watch. However, and this is especially true when you've been watching a lot of movies, you'll generally be able to pick up on whether it's worth your time long before it's over. Yeah, occasionally there'll be some twist that makes a movie pull a 180 on you, but I think most of those cases already have enough to hook you anyway. It's much like the three-episode rule some people use for anime; if it's not drawing you in within three episodes, then that's a failure on the show's part.
That said, I've watched a lot of Adam's review videos, and the amount of movies that he posts reviews for that he didn't finish is pretty small to my recollection. We're talking single digit percentage here. And even when he does, he always mentions in his review that he didn't finish it, so it's not like he's being deceptive. I do think it's silly to apply a numeric score to a movie you didn't finish, but whatever, it's his channel, he can do what he wants.
For a normal person that is totally fine, the issue is when it's your job to review something. Also when it comes to something like Cuties I really don't see people reviewing the full movie without seeing it but rather criticizing its display of the pedo element which for normal people rightfully overshadows any merits the rest of the movie may in fact have if does have any at all. But the point is a big difference between someone saying the new Battlefield game looks like shit and a reviewer giving it a bad review after playing it for 30 minutes much like how Jim Sterling used to do for his reviews. This really is no diffrenet from the whole "game journos don't play games" meme.I dunno, I don’t need to see all of Cuties or Space Jam 2 to know it sucked shit. The last 30 mins of each isn’t going to suddenly convince me it’s amazing.

Regardless, even if Bob had a point, he acted like such a bitch about it that you can't help but be against Bob's position. That's how shitty of a person he is.

It didn't work in this case because Adam just went and replied to each of his quote tweets anyway, so anyone following along immediately found Bob's bitching.
And this is why people hate Bob the ego, YMS while wrong was pretty respectful in asking for a discussion not even a debate about the topic to which blob response he is not making an ad for him despite the fact YMS has a far bigger fan base with over 1 million youtube followers while blob is stuck at 132k.Images seem to work again:

The most famous critic of my lifetime used a simple binary to describe a movie’s quality. He then used the rest of his time helping people better understand and enjoy film.I would say a critic's primary job is to say whether something is worth watching/playing/eating or not. It doesn't really matter the particular industry. It can be acceptable to say you didn't finish something and say "avoid it, it sucks" as long as that is made clear.
Someone explained to me that this is to prevent his enemies from seeing and replying to his shit repartee. But I think Twitter allows you to see who quote-tweet you no?Can someone who understands Twitter explain to me why this retard never just replies to people but always quote tweets?
Bob thinks U.S. Special Forces are running around active war zones dropping supplies for people to use with nobody noticing?Everything looks like a video game to the likes of Luke Lockhart and Bobby:

I don't understand how Wonder Woman 1984 being bad would make the No Man's Land scene in the first film less "iconic" and less interesting to learn about.Bobby hates Wonder Woman:

It doesn't notify the person. When someone replies to your tweet you get a notification but if they quote tweet and you don't follow them you don't see it unless you check the quote tweets.Someone explained to me that this is to prevent his enemies from seeing and replying to his shit repartee. But I think Twitter allows you to see who quote-tweet you no?
It's more likely to show up in people's feeds. Replies only occasionally show up for your followers, but quote tweets are typically front and center. And Bob can't stand the idea of people possibly not seeing his "brilliant" writing. Can someone who understands Twitter explain to me why this retard never just replies to people but always quote tweets?
