To use an analogy, Bob began life with the potential energy of a spacecraft in geocentric orbit. Right now, he has the potential energy of a Space Shuttle that has re-entered the atmosphere. Everyone else is to blame, everyone else is evil, everyone else is locked up because they did it, but the prisoner himself was not culpable for his actions, he is not evil, he didn't do it but was failed by a lawyer and a system which hated him. The left embraced this ideology if you're not born wealthy and beautiful then anything you do isn't your fault. You can see a lazy, fat, ugly, moron like Blobby would embrace this thought process. This very thing that motivates prisoners, is exactly why rehabilitation is bullshit. The only rehabilitatable criminals are the desperate ones who are not in fact narcissists/cluster A-B disasters, and I would hazard a guess that narcissists or similarly disordered (Cluster-A's etc) are the majority of criminals. It's nearly impossible to change the mindset of a narcissist. While not everybody on either side of the political spectrum is acutely specifically aware of the narcissism of criminals, it's funny that the Left takes the least effective view on how to deal with such, but I guess it's no surprise given the amount of narcissists who are drawn to the Left specifically because the Left, particularly the Far Left but also mushy bleeding hearts, enable and coddle narcissists. I'd say a big problem is personal responsibility isn't taught the way it used to, people are encouraged to not accept their own flaws or work on them, just to blame everything else in their lives.
