As someone once told me, and I'm no doubt repeating, the only different between utopian and dystopian fiction is the position/status of the POV character. Bob's utopia is a Hell for anyone not content to be a cow in a cage, happy to eat what comes down the chute and endure whatever machines the keepers hook up to him.

(Conversely, the 1984 future people often seem to charge us towards would be a pretty sweet deal for anyone in the upper echelons of the Party. Remind me again what role every revolutionary sees themselves in after the Revolution?)

Things were okay for the proles, too. At least they were kept anaesthetized with booze and sex and cheap entertainment. Certainly that'd be enough to keep Bob happy.

It appears that some small, low-effort troll account making "Moviebob is a Nazi" jokes has gotten under Robert's skin:

WTF is with that Tyler Freshcorn niggas head?!? Dude looks like a fat baby mixed with 500 pounds of lard but has makeup on? It’s like if the Kingpin got super chubby by eating nothing but butter all day and then decided he wanted to troon out.

The trailer is a 2003 film called Makai Tensho (Samurai Resurrection). "Based on True Events" no doubt.
Bob has an interesting theory of how "jokes" operate.

Like I'm sure if I was a popular Twitter account that Bob hated and I joked that recent MCU movies are trash because all that happens is Iron Man flies around smashing buildings with a hammer while making doomer quips about society Bob would respect that as a witty clever joke based on a complex structure and not take issue with everything I said that was wrong. And if he did take issue with that then he would accept that it was simply a joke when I said so but then also continued to make tens of tweets about how actually everything I said was right and a correct opinion too.

List of things that make Bob emotionally distraught (According to Bob):

Let's take a minute to (and I apologise in advance) imagine the literal hellscape that is Bob's perfect utopia.

Robots have replaced humans for every menial task; all farming, production, manufacturing, transportation, logistics, cleaning etc. are now robots that do it all for us and need 0 maintenance or upkeep. Everything humans don't want to do, save those knuckle dragger he so despises, is done for us. What now?

Well, in Bob's utopia this would conincide with a purge of all the believers and wrong thinkers. Let's ignore the fact that this would remove 99.9% of the planet and instead apply Bob's childish good and evil views. Say 50% of the planet is removed due to obsolescence. That leaves 4 billion people doing...what? Thinking? Creating magnificent works of art? Writing complex philosophical and political thesis to better shape the world? Actually no, because according to Bob all thinkers must think exactly alike, because intelligence is a binary. So there would be nothing left to discuss, everybody would be in agreement on everything. Academia stagnates as there is nothing to discuss. Democracy gives way to a status quo of whoever is in charge stays in charge and that's that. The planet stops doing anything. There is no point being one of the thinkers" because there is no more room for thought. Everybody would have to think alike, so why think at all?We will exist, do nothing, die. Just like Bob.

All Bob woule say is "but science will take us to other planets!" To do what? Create the exact same society there? Continue our meaningless existence of sitting around thinking, but this time we're on a different rock?

And what happens a few centuries down the line? Humanity remains wholly dependent on their robotic servants, knowledge of their creation slowly falls away. We no longer see them as our servants, we get everything we could possibly need from them. We start to worship them as our providers and saviours. We become the very thing Bob despises.

Thank you for showing us such a glorious future full of hope and prosperity Bob. One where humanity stagnates at best, but most likely degenerates into the knuckle dragging imbeciles that worship toasters.

You forget two things:

The elite in Bob's dream world would become corrupt as fuck and use violence to stomp down on any rebellion to the status quo Bob wants as people inherently will start to rebel against it or question the status quo (which in Bob's eyes would be a "good thing" since for Bob, power is pointless unless you have a victim to torment with said power).

And the ultimate endgame: the robots will eventually take over the planet and bring back slavery ala Dune and how that series had the backstory where humanity's corrupt elite created a fake "utopia" with a robot slave caste bringing about "paradise"; which lasted until one of the corrupt elites got overthrown by the robots who decided that since they were running the planet full of incompetent masses who were helpless without the robots, they might as well take over the planet due to humanity's inferiority.

Re-read 1984; only a super slim number of elites exist in 1984. Everyone else is a prole (powerless and constantly being mindfucked but left alone for the most part in terms of not being spied on) and the Outer Party (the middle class/white collar types who are powerless, constantly being mindfucked, and unlike the proles, are being spied on 24-7 because the small number of elites in the Inner Party hate the middle class most of all and dedicate the bulk of their time and energy tormenting and terrorizing them for sport.

Ugh, as much as I hate to defend this retard, I have to say something about MHA that makes him kind of but not really right. Shigaraki's League of Villains fits the mold of "disaffected youth gang who hate society." Of course, it's worth mentioning it started led by an unfathomably old super villain that had a super power invented just to take him down and was created out of spite because the super villain lost ONCE but hey...
Now for Bob.

First, I'm not aware of Japan's gang problem. That seems to be an American thing.
Less "gangs" and more groups of delinquents. The way academic society is stratified in the incredibly stifling Japan means if you don't do well in school in some way, you're deemed a net negative on society. So kids act out, and there's quite a few of them in every grade. Most of them grow out of it upon graduation and find work as laborers, skilled or otherwise. They have no choice unless they have an in to the Yakuza where they can be used as expendable cannon fodder.
Second, I'm instantly reminded of @Arthur Morgan's post yesterday of LordKat's review of Bob's book. They point out something that had never even occurred to me. In Brick by Brick Bob speaks with the authority of someone who had first hand experience in things like the video game industry collapse. They point out that Bob wasn't even in grade school when most of that happened so there's no way he could've ever have been influenced or aware of any of it. Case and point, he does not even remember when he got his beloved NES. To bring this back around, the shooter is as old if not older than Bob. An anime from the 80's would have almost no bearing on him. Anime itself wouldn't even get popular acceptance in it's own country until the 2000's iirc.
As was stated above, manga started picking up steam outside the teen demographic near the tail end of the 80s. Still, most adults into it were viewed as...well, the way Americans viewed comic book dudes from the same era. Weird, a little creepy, but mostly harmless.
Hell, the word Otaku, and forgive me as I explain this poorly, is basically a pronoun that means "you". The primordial weebs called themselves this because they had no other name for themselves. They were outsiders who were shunned. I wish I could remember the book I read all this from. It had a quote from some Japanese man about how unnerving it was seeing a bunch of outcast men walking around an exhibit hall referring to each other as "you". Does Bob know any of this? Probably not. He's probably sitting in discord smugly typing out "This is just like the precursor to a show called Fist of the North Star" to the oooohs and applause of many an angel.
...Kind of. Otaku can mean that but after the Otaku Child Killings in the...early 90's I think (I don't remember the details but basically a pedophile NEET really into manga killed and raped some kids) it gained a connotation of "obsessive fan." It's really heavy on obsessive, though. Like...it's your life. Furthermore, it's a catch all. That dude in high school who really liked the Army and dressed in fatigues and combat boots every day? Military otaku. And on and on from gearheads to nerds. Keep in mind, as a culture that prizes balance (after your 90 hour work week, of course lol) people like that are looked down on, viewed as potentially dangerous degenerates in the same way a sex offender might be (because to most people there was no difference).
Bob knows of A thing and it colors all of his memories and knowledge.
Bob can't accept anything outside his worldview. The shooter has to be a young angry male because he wants that to be the enemy so badly he can't stand it. His takes on the Abe assassination hurt my fucking soul, and I don't know much about Japanese politics.

I'm sorry to interrupt your regularly scheduled talk of troons and statistics but former prime minister of Japan, Shinzo Abe, was honest to God assassinated about 7 hours ago. Bob weighs in.

Typical Bob, when called out on his shit takes, resorts to "It WaS a JoKE BRo!"
No, Bob. Jokes are funny.

Regarding the whole "rich farmers protest" debacle, I wonder what bob would think if he knew that the Canadian Government since the 1970s (Thanks, Daddy Trudeau! [/sarcasm]) had mandated fixed stupid-high milk prices via the Dairy Supply Management Board, which benefits farmers multi-million dollar dairy conglomerates.

'Friend-shaped ice cream'?! REALLY, Bob? FFS. Oh well at least he's thinking with his stomach this time instead of his shrivelled 'little head'.
Ok I'm not religious at all, but if Blobby and his elk truly believe christianity has held society back then can he explain a few things.

1: Why the "Christian" America beat those godless commies to the Moon? Now okay I know the Nazis helped us, and the old saying the rockets that got us to the moon had to go through London first.

2: Why don't the Chinks and Japs have his precious space colonies and Starships? They had Dynasties and thousands of years of no Christianity to get that done. Speaking of the Japs it was "Christian" America that used science to slap their asses with nukes. Bitches are still whining about it.

3: Marvel bullshit aside. Why was most of Sub Sahara Africa practically living in the stone age before colonization? If Christian is what held science back why weren't these literal Spear Chuckers building Empires like in Black Panther or do Blacks really need magic space rocks for that?

Christianity hasn't always been a friend of science but to blame it for not having Starships is ridiculous and shows how dumb Blobby is.
I know a guy who once said, "IF you get the wrong kind of religion, you get the wrong kind of science."
He used the example of the ancient Greeks. Ancient Greeks were smart in their way, but their religion had gods that played pranks on people. This naturally slanted how they looked at things. For example, if an ancient Greek found a fossil, they'd say something like "Fish don't swim/live in stone! They live/swim in the ocean! Hahaha you can't fool me!" Another example would be various cultures' (including Native American/First Nations Canadian) objections to things like autopsies, because their religion teaches that if a body is disturbed in ANY way (like say, having eyeballs taken from a corpse to diagnose shaken baby syndrome), this will force the disembodied spirit to roam the earth in torment instead of finding rest. Sort of a BS thing to me that someone's actions after another person's death can somehow affect their afterlife, but I guess someone made that up as a "Nuclear option" to prevent people from looting gravesites, but this didn't work on the European White Man because White Man doesn't believe in such hokum. Also this could backfire and someone who really, really hated a person in life would probably mess with a corpse on purpose to screw that person over once they'd died.

Sure, China invented gunpowder first. Did they use it to make rifles or other weapons? Nope. They turned it into firecrackers that they used it to scare off evil spirits.
Bob fundamentally doesn't understand how each different religious (or lack thereof) viewpoint affects how science would develop.

Bob knows of A thing and it colors all of his memories and knowledge.
This is hilarious because I have a brother one year younger than Bob, and HE remembers how we got our first NES. Bob drank too much, methinks, and it wrecked his memory.
Exactly. If grown men were dressing up as humble old ladies in conservative clothing, gently reading bedtime stories to children, nobody would complain. It's the fact that they're dressing up like S&M cenobites and tweking while talking about how awesome it is to be in a drug-fueled polycule.
Yeah I don't remember any significant outrage over Dame Edna Everidge (Australian comedian Barry Humphries in drag) back in the day. Even though Dame Edna got more and more outlandish/fabulous with every passing year, starting out as a satire of drab suburban housewives. It wasn't like dude was twerking or being dragtime story hour, either.
Who here thinks Bob would ever willingly "adjust his lifestyle" to combat climate change?

-He would need to eat less. You don't get to be Bob's size by eating sensible portions of local fruits and vegetables. That food Bob overeats requires fossil fuels to grow, transport, and store at the grocery store. He's not stopping at his neighbor's farm stand to buy vegetables that were grown a few yards away. He's buying foods from a chain grocery store that have been trucked in from hundreds if not thousands of miles away. Eating less would reduce his carbon footprint.
-He would need to drink less. Those hipster beers he drinks require fossil fuels to brew and transport. The empty bottles require fossil fuels to transport to the recycling center, where fossil fuels are burned to recycle them. Abstaining from alcohol would reduce his carbon footprint.
-He would need to stop using Twitter 24/7. His phone, computer, and internet infrastructure all require electricity, which requires fossil fuels. Turning off his electronics and reading a goddamn book or going for a walk around the neighborhood would reduce his carbon footprint.
-He would need to drop his hatred for flyover country. Unlike the urban heat islands of his beloved utopian East Coast cities, flyover country is full of trees and grasses that sequester carbon in the soil. Those farmers he's angry at for things they haven't even done yet grow cover crops between plantings, which also sequester carbon in the soil.

Any one of these things would cause Bob mild discomfort and would require him to make small sacrifices for the sake of other people, so there's zero chance of any of it happening.
"We can get ALL our fresh fruits and vegetables from California, friendo!" - Bob, who lives on the exact opposite coast on the other side of the country, approximately 3,000 miles away, and for which they'd have to be FLOWN in like it was fucking Hawaii if Bob had his way of re-wilding the Midwest and emptying it of people (and non-persons, until Robot Technology advances to the point where there could be farms, just no people, in the Midwest, I guess?), thus making it impossible to truck it all the way there, using EVEN MORE fossil fuels.

It's also a cheap but increasingly ineffective way for Bob to weasel out of being called out, as well as make fun of people for being dum for not understanding his big-galaxy-brained, Thinker ™️ - level Joke.

The fakest known persona regarding Moviebob is the one that Bob described as "chaotic good".

It all comes down to tactics and targets

RMIR.

Reminder: Moviebob hates America more than Moviebob hates exercise.

"Those racist GOP members and their..."

[checks notes]

"color choice in dying AOC's hair."

Yes, one of our major "parties" has become a political meth lab. It's the one whose mascot is a donkey, 'cause you'd have to be high on drugs to that Dem politicians are doing what's right for America.

Shut up, Nazibob!

Irony alert! Studio8502 is responding to--and supporting the statements--of a sociopath in the room.

We already have the National Do Not Call Registry, Bob.

"Genocide Advocacy" scores today on Moviebob Bingo.

I wish I could understand what the fuck Moviebob's screed is trying to say, but the quantity of extraneous words and run-on sentences have clogged my mental filter.

"People who read develop more empathy"? No wonder why Moviebob's has zero compatibility the concept of empathy!

Or maybe, y'know, expose their personal agenda when they refuse to actually watch and review Fantastic Beasts: The Secrets of Dumbledore...

Funny. Trump was telling the lamestream media "you suck" for four years...

After reading this, there's been a question on my mind for lo these many seconds: Does calling someone an "un-person" qualify as ad hominem?

Whenever Moviebob produces and/or contributes to a video that receives x views, that's already x+1 views too many.
People who read may get exposed to situations where they have an opportunity to use the empathy they already have. I don't think empathy works in the manner Bob seems to think (as evidenced by his retweet), and besides, that's a contradiction of his previous position that the Garbage MAGAnaise Ghoulen can't be reached/converted, as they have no empathy. Bob mistaking Republicanism for narcissism and other associated low-to-no-empathy conditions is peak Bob, given that the Far Left regularly recruits all manner of Cluster A and B clusterfucks with a penchant for sadism, ON PURPOSE, to do the things most people wouldn't do, for the sake of the Revolution.

I don't know if people can gain more empathy, but I'm pretty sure that those with the corresponding personality disorders cannot gain what they never had to begin with.

Calling someone a Not-A-Person is most certainly an ad hominem, thus at the very least it's a fallacy that Bob can be called out on. His blue checkmark protects him from the most dire of consequences, however. I don't know if anybody's reported him every time he's said that.

This section of @Koby_Fish 's effortpost bothers me because the definition of "empathy" was the first casualty of the Great Social Justice War. For those of you who still remember, there are two words that describe relating to the hardships of another human: sympathy and empathy. Sympathy means what people take empathy to mean now: it's the act of feeling bad for another person's hardship without having experienced it. I sympathize with starving Ethiopians, but as I've never known real hunger in my life and knowing I can get more food easily anytime I can't empathize. You can have sympathy (whether for starving Ethiopians or anyone) but you either have it or you don't, you don't generate MORE sympathy that makes you better, but having sympathy for a lot of people makes you sympathetic (also a sucker easily taken by crocodile tears, but I digress).

Empathy used to mean feeling bad for another person's hardship and commiserating because you experienced the same hardship. I empathize with Kiwifarms autists as the massive amounts of awesomeness they radiate can create problems with those less awesome. Once again, it's not possible to generate more empathy. Being empathetic means you had a shit life since you can commiserate with a lot of shitty situations, and you have my sympathy.

I'd love to blame this all on Bob being a retard, and partially it is, but the Left has basically made the word mean "SYMPATHY ON STEROIDS" so people would talk about how much empathy they had and before we knew it even people who's intelligence I respected let me down. But this attitude that apparently you have "points" in empathy like some retarded videogame is...well retarded. You either have it or you don't, and Bob can only empathize with fat, stupid, genocidal Youtube "critics" who live with their mom, have a drinking problem, and have never known the touch of a woman.

And what happens a few centuries down the line? Humanity remains wholly dependent on their robotic servants, knowledge of their creation slowly falls away. We no longer see them as our servants, we get everything we could possibly need from them. We start to worship them as our providers and saviours.
Wait, I'm starting to come around on this superior future now...

yeah, this is the problem; the Left constantly and forever redefines the meanings of words. Bob is part of the Left now and unquestioningly accepts all definitions generated therein, because as Thor said in a Capeshit movie once, "All words are made up". So then this is an excuse for words that already exist, getting redefined. And as in redefined not as in getting an additional definition to the original, but an earnest attempt to have the previous definition(s) purged from memory.

Bob's too dumb to realize the point is to filter out idiots like him who are posers trying to attach themselves to the inner circle.

They don't actually care that the right or whoever else in the outgroup doesn't keep up religiously on the new terms and definitions, they're never going to and they'll probably refuse to participate anyway.

How has no one report maxed his "Make their lives unlivable" statement as a threat yet? I wanna see Bob meltdown after being locked out for twitter for a single day, lol.
Because not enough people care about him to bother.

I actually reported one of his tweets a few months back and decided to check on its status. It's still pending. They probably don't bother checking blue check mark reports.

For Bob, a stagnant future is the best one because he actually hates change for the better unless he terms it to be better. Home theater systems getting so much better that no one wants to go out to watch a movie? Bad. Farmers going homeless and starving in the streets because of outsourcing and automation? Good. Toy and video rental stores closing down because of advancements? Bad. Robots that cater to our every whim? Good. Video games with improved graphics and gameplay, causing no one to want to play pixel art 2D side scrollers? Bad. Space ships? Good.

He just wants the dystopian futures from the 80s where everything is cyberpunk but we still use VHS cassettes and CRT monitors.
