Here's the thing that gets me about Bob and his ilk with their whole "2nd Amendment should move on" thing: if some douchebag wants to kill as many people as possible and is determined and resourceful enough, he/she is likely going to find a way to do it. Don't have guns? They'll probably mix up some type of explosive. Don't have access to explosives? They'll just use a car to drive into a crowd. And so on and so forth.

Not to mention the sheer impracticality at this point. There are something like 300-400 million guns in circulation, and that may be only those that are registered. The amount of other amendments and rights that would need to be removed to even attempt confiscating all those guns would necessitate a police state on par with any of the worst in history. It's easy to cheer for banning guns if you're not the guy who has to kick in the door of some Texan sovereign citizen and take them by force.
