He really hates dark and gritty comic book adaptations. In fact, in his Daredevil Season 2 review, he bitched about it being what a middle schooler thinks dark and gritty is. Yeah, because a middle schooler could write a scene like the Punisher's monologue in the cemetery that adds layers to a character who is initially characterized as remorseless killer. It's one thing to complain about Superman being overly brooding, but to do the same with Daredevil, who has been steeped in noir ever since Frank Miller took over in the late 70s and redefined the character, and the Punisher, who is a send up to hardcore revenge thrillers like Dirty Harry and Death Wish is missing the point of those characters entirely. Like @Foltest said, he's a Silver Age purist.

If Bob only understood that the actual moral of Zootopia was that "Prejudice and sweeping generalizations are bad" instead of simply "Police racism is bad", the irony would be lessened.
