How will Bob react to seeing the Mario film?

See maybe I'm wrong but I recall the shitty blogs that are desperate for this content praising his anger-- cause hating sandler is cool.
Basically the same type of people that would think getting famous for sperging out like an idiot is a good thing.

Nope, still doesn't make sense.
His attempt mocking player choice is as good as DSP is at playing video games.

Am I the only one who finds it disturbing how he and McIntosh want to limit player choice to discourage wrongthink? Games have been letting you control the narrative for a long time, so why DE: MD was the straw that broke the camel's back for them is baffling to say the least.
Because DE: MD is part of an FPS series that does choice and consequence rather well. Being an FPS, Bob thinks it's nothing more than another dude-bro COD type game. It doesn't help he thought the Aug Lives Matter thing from concept art was tasteless despite the fact that the game itself is showing how bad one group gets within its universe for simply being different.

"durr hurr gamers hate women therefore I shouldn't need to save one"

Yes that's why the Zelda series is one of Nintendo's eternal golden goose franchises Bob. Also ignoring that Zelda/Shelk/Midna and other female characters in the series tend to do their part to help the Hero of Time in their own ways. You probably could choose to not rescue Zelda but it's probably just going to result in Hyrule's ruin so like...why do that?

It's like arguing that every book should be Choose Your Own Adventure. When a perfectly fine linear plot is enough for most people. Sometimes I don't want to have to decide what the protagonist does, I want the author to just tell me the story and go with the flow.

Plenty of games do have joke endings where saying no to the obvious "wanna save the world?" message leads to a "game over" or "bad ending" as well.

Zelda is one of the most female-centric series out there. Hyrule was created by 3 Goddesses, who left it in the care of Hylia, who reincarnates as Zelda. In Ocarina, 5 of the 7 Sages are women, there's a whole tribe of warrior women, and you're aided by Zelda in disguise as Sheik. It's even named after Zelda, not Link, ferchrissakes.

Here's his Sausage Party review, it's from the geek.com Youtube channel (where some other videos of his have been posted):

None of this makes sense.

He calls it philosophical, when it's "metaphor" is so blatant they just say it out loud the whole movie.

He pretend that racism in the film is commentary on everyday life where we project racism on food? That sentence doesnt even make sense Bob.

And then you get to this, "It's not my place to tell anyone how to take it."

THATS ALL YOU DO. THAT'S WHO YOU ARE BOB. IT IS YOUR ENTIRE IDENTITY.

What's the context?
Okay. Who is mombot?

Long story short, some anti-Gamergaters (including Izzy Galvez) tried to dox Mombot, a pro-gamergater on Twitter who is (allegedly) a Japanese mother living in Japan. They thought they exposed her as a white man living in the US. Turns out that she had a mole in the anti-gg's little group, and it was all a trap to catch these guys in the act of doxing. Considering how Galvez went on TV and claimed that "doxing is terrorism", it showed what a massive hypocrite he is. Now a lot of the SJW crew they hang with (like Zoe Quinn) are either downplaying it, backpedalling, or just pretending it didn't happen.

Yeah, and they're now saying that a journalist who covered the event is being targeted

The funny thing is it actually sounds like something the Blob would be in favor of, since he's so into the idea of silencing people he disagrees with by any means necessary. But it turned out to be really bad PR after the leaks were posted, what with the whole "trying to dox and harass a woman off the internet" thing, so it's too late for him to latch onto it now.

"we're all conditioned to think of bathroom jokes as inherently juvenile, but the true function of scatological humor as a tool of satire is to highlight the absurdity of fiction."

I think it's time to coin a new term: diabetese.

"... sort of like King Kong becomes a different movie if you even mention he's taking Volkswagen-sized shit all over the city."

No the movie stays the same. The only thing different is that we now know you're TV Tropes retarded.

What was the first game Saint Anita railed against... was it some... I think it had something to do with some Italian guy saving a princess and that was sexist because it made the Princess just and object... wasn't... wasn't that it...?

Also...

So when Foodfight... I mean... Sausage Party and Ghostbusters have poop jokes and the like, that is... "a tool of satire" but when... I dunno... South Park uses outright satire to make a few solid digs of the whole social justice culture, that's taking it too far?

Bob, I'd tell you to go fuck yourself, but I'm pretty sure you haven't seen your dick in years.

Someone should let Bob know that you are saving Hyrule and the princess is a mere consequence.

Re-reading Bob's "analysis" of The Dark Knight that came out last year, him basically jacking off Marvel and calling them the next step in film history instead of what they are, massively popular & enjoyable enough popcorn movies makes me think Bobbert would fit in with the "This is serious, you don't understand, Mom!" crowd more than he thinks.

I'm going to sperg big time here, but I hate how he acted all apologetic for the Schumacher films in that because they were "light-hearted and kid-friendly just like ALL superhero stories should be and they're just like Batman is supposed to be since he only became dark and gritty in the 80s". For someone who claims to be a huge comic book fan, he sure as hell doesn't know that Batman was intended by his creators to be a dark and gothic figure before the Comics Code neutered and made him camp. Heck, Denny O'Neill was pushing the bounds of what could be done at the time trying to bring Batman back to his roots in the 70s. The reason for his impression that Frank Miller made him dark and gritty is because it was the first time Batman was fully allowed to be what he was originally intended.

I think Bob's MCU-boner stems from them evoking his Silver Age nostalgia. He's one of those people who doesn't want comic books to evolve past that era because he wants them to stay the same as when he was a child, so when Nolan takes the Batman franchise in a more serious direction, he starts wangsting over them not bringing back his childhood and getting flashbacks to the Xtreme 90s, where comic books were by and large shit. That, and he is not up to taking on more challenging cinema. I mean, has he not been paying attention the independent and small to mid-budget fare floating around like The Nice Guys and The Green Room, because that's where it's at.

TL;DR: Bob's an idiot, Nolan saved Batman, and the MCU is not the pinnacle of modern filmmaking.

Pretty likely his first exposure to Batman was the 60s TV show with Adam West. Nothing wrong with that in and of itself (mine was too), but like the whiny manbaby he is, he can't grow past his first exposure to anything.

But this dipshit is too young to actually fucking read the silver age Batman stuff where it was mostly wacky sci-fi adventures interspersed with clowny criminal cases. He was like a ten year old in the 80s or some shit. He grew up easily in the Bronze or Dark Age of comics. So he's just being a bitchbaby ignoramus again, probably basing it on shit like the Superfriends and Adam West, since TV never really developed as fast as the comics did in changing the tone.

He's full of more shit on being a comic guy than he is on being a film critic.
