He has an irrational disdain for the PC (personal computer) platform, which would also explain his closed mindset. Had he grown up with adventure games he might be more able to consider compassionate solutions rather than just stomping on the enemy, while CRPGs or even Elder Scrolls games could teach him more about how things work and how to think about things other than "kill the dragon to get the princess".
