What a dumb chode.
1) Science is not meant to be normative (
pace Foucault and his postmodernist cronies). i.e. science does not dictate social norms and moralities. Even if medical advances have allowed us to craft a penis into some excuse of a vagina, it doesn't mean it is desirable to do so, nor does it mean people who choose to go under the knife are "normal".
2) We are never in charge of the "natural order". Science develops to understand natural order and serves to transform nature in accordance to its order. The notion that science is somewhat "transcendent" is a Nietzschean pipe dream; that "we" people are "transcendent" is a Sartrean (or maybe Randian) one.
3) Only hippies think gods and religion are an embodiments of natural forces. For most sane people over the world these are more embodiments of
morality. Science may have superseded religion as an explanation of nature, but it is not science's job to comment on morality.
