"yet somehow, I am not a nazi" -Bob Chipman

:story:

Could have fooled us.

Also, I want to scream at that one conversation: "If you keep helping people and they keep hating you for it, maybe - just maybe - you're NOT ACTUALLY HELPING!"

Look, here's the trope for you super-autists: http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/UnwantedAssistance

That Justice League rant tho. How :autism: do you have to be to make a bunch of tweets over one movie? If he spent as much as he does ranting on DC and Trump and did for something like writing comics or making films I think he would be okay.

Yeah when Bob said, "it ain't worth time thinking about" I immediately wanted to start a betting pool here on him doing a 4 hour critique of the movie and how soon.

What I don't get is, why going insane over Illumination doing that movie?
I know they did the Minions. So? The Despicable Me movies are in my opinion fine in the animation department and the Minion movie was okay.

It was no masterpiece, more like a 90 minute long wacky cartoon with annoying yellow tic tacs, but so what? I know worse animated characters than the Minions and it was a better story than lets say the MLP movie.

And back on track: lets be frank: The Mario franchise has in general as much depth as the average Illumination movie anyway.
I love the Mario games, especially the RPG ones, but I am not pretending they tell the greatest game stories ever told. They do not. Most games lack any story, aside of an excuse plot that forces you to go from A to B. Even Odyseey.
I can see Mario work as a cartoon that may have a seasonal plot in parts, but as a feature length movie? I think even if Walt Disney himself came back from the grave, in his hand the feather which Shakespeare used to write his plays, using it and ink blessed by the Pope himself to draw the movie in classical style, with Don Bluth doing the character designs...

the movie would at best make back its production costs.
Franchise driven movies in the animated sector are dead.
To be fair, a movied based on Paper Mario: The Thousand Year door could be pretty kickass. But at that point, why not just play the game?

Wait, how old was Bob in 93? Because he's putting levels of need into live action Mario being good that go beyond Autism. Like for fucks sake, if I didn't know better one of you wrote that excerpt.

I'll never understand the attachment people put on these things. I mean, I played a lot of Jazz Jackrabbit while my parents were getting divorced. But I've got no attachment to anything but a nostalgia for the game. Like what goes wrong in someone's brain that a marketing mascot becomes a genuine "friend". I mean that's gotta go beyond autism.

Because what's the point of wreeeing over a Mario movie ever? I mean I can sperg out over Advent Children, because FF7 had a plot, and characters. Mario is a blank slate. He's a stand in. He's never hinted at a character beyond possibly wanting to fuck pasta

Bob, like all his clique, is a serial projector, in that he attempts to push facts true about himself onto other people. Bob is a bigoted piece of filth, so everyone else is a nazi. Bob is an intolerant prick, so everyone else is [insert prefix here]phobic. Bob feels the ends justify the means in every circumstances, so everyone else is guilty of it.

What does this have to do with Mario? Well, everything.

One thing Chippy does - and does a lot - is claim that gamers are entitled because they feel they're owed a comfort zone, and their opposition to his Social Justice tardmonkey allies is entirely because they don't want his glorious superior future horning in on their digital worlds, arguing that they've kept such things to themselves for too long and it's now time to step back and let his buddies take the wheel. This, literally, is the excuse he gives for why so many people take issue with Chippy's superior future schtick in vidya (misogyny/*ism/etc aside, of course).

But then you remember Bobby's tendency to project like a motherfucker, and you realize that for him, the Mario series is that comfort zone. This is the one part of Chippy that isn't some carefully-crafted part of his online persona, to be virtue-signaled whenever he needs attention - the lone piece of the real Chipman most ever get to see.

At his core, Chippy's always been a raging hypocrite, but it's here that his own mentality is laid bare: He's nothing less than the exact same kind of shrieking fanboy that he fucking loves to insult, if not infinitely worse. He rattles on hard about Mario because it lets him smokescreen a bit and pretend that he's not exactly the same as the most Autistic of Sonic fans, when if anything, he's worse. He chooses it because it's the lone series socially-acceptable enough for him to like publicly and still claim to have something resembling fondness for vidya.

In the end, Chipman is what he hates.

I mean this is well written. But we need a "fucking duh" reaction. In lieu though I'll give you a winner. Because he needs to be reminded and frequently he's no better. Like a lot of my political ilk needs to realize they're no better than fascists about right wing folks and ideas. But when he keeps insisting they need to be systematically killed and starved. Well you know. There's a saying about pots and kettles. Albeit Cauldron or drum would be a better label for chipped beef here.

Christ, his attempts at memes are so fucking cringy.

WARNING: Verbal diarrhea ahead.

I been seeing many reviewers being very positive toward the film. It is only this fat piece of shit that refuse to give up his bias. But thank god, he'll be in the minority on this. GG Bob, GG:hah:

To quote thebechtloff: "Being Bob Chipman is both his crime, and punishment."

Chipman will die before he will ever gain the attention of his SJWs crushes, or to see his dogma becoming a reality. Nice work with that.

So you're saying we need to replace Mario with a fat black trans lesbian as mentioned a few times in this thread.

As pointed out, moviebob has an unusually high amount of work ethics for a lolcow. I honestly think that Bob's dream in life is to make a live-action Mario movie, considering his obsession with the franchise seems to know no heights and thinks that a live-action Mario movie hasn't been done right yet instead of a terrible idea that would make Nintendo run from Hollywood for decades longer. You would think that he would be entirely focused on reaching that one goal in life.

Unfortunately, he is a colossal asshole that would prefer to do a Three Hour Hate on a comic book movie instead of making a genuinely entertaining film. No wonder why he whines when Nintendo doesn't come out with another Mario film.

To call Bob a "classist" is to oversell him. He does not have a consistent ideology at all.

I won't call that "work ethics" because his "work" is the ultimate much ado about nothing. He does not follow what his boss dictated -- indeed he told his old boss off because they intervene when he got off-rails with politics. He has no understanding or concern with his audience, no concern about what brings in money or not. Everything he does is an autistic hobby, a compulsion even, and you won't call some sperg kid who keeps reciting to you the latest weather report someone with "good work ethics".

Hating on CinemaSins is such a weird, growing trend. Did Jeremy run over some pseudo-intellectual puppies?

My theory is that CS have caused people to complain about capeshit more regularly, which these popcorn reviewers don't take kindly to.

Nope surprisingly, started earlier because a director lost his shit when they made fun of his movie. It's morphed into this. Nothing about capeshit. Making some comeback now for some reason.

What's the sexism/racism/ism-of-the-day complaint about them? Lord knows I don't care for CinemaSins, but I certainly never noticed that aspect to their stuff. But then I am notoriously unwoke.

Sorry for posting again, it's from some jokes like in one Harry Potter video where they sinned it for something along the lines of "Emma Watson is not an attractive woman at this time". They've also made fun of female characters only being their for eye-candy. People dug for stuff after that Kong director started the autistic screeching.

Puritans would tell these people to get the fuck over themselves.

Wasn't Watson underage in many HP movies? It would be extremely creepy to call her "an attractive woman".

Also anything from a movie that is derogatory in any way is marked as "that's racist" even if it is not race related.
