You can tell Bob's unaware of Garth Ennis' run on Punisher, which the show takes most of its inspiration from (war veteran, the way the story unfolds, some of the plot elements like heroin smuggling in Afghanistan).

Ennis created some of the best Punisher arcs out there, some of which you can see in the show like Born, Welcome Back Frank, and In the Beginning. They weren't "villain of the week" type shit either; The Punisher works better with arcs since it helps develop not only the character but the villain as well (since they're going to die at the end 95% of the time).

Bob once again fails to understand the basics of the character and what makes him work. If anything, the show is a microcosm of the Punisher and a great introduction for anyone interested in it (it certainly inspired me to read the comics).

Of course. As has been pointed out repeatedly on this thread, Bob has the mind, debating skills, and eating habits of a surly teenager. Unfortunately that sort of attitude was deemed acceptable after Trump won.
