Which some blockbuster movie with black lesbians or a comic no one will read about the struggle of being a teen white American girl with superpowers (replacing a more popular male counterpart) will affect that how? Not even going to touch Bob saying the phrase is wrong himself, going to treat it as his mistake.

"I'm raising awareness!" doesn't count. "I'm black/gay/female/whatever and people don't like me" is not breaking any new ground here. That is the most basic thing you could come up with.

Bob seems awfully defensive about the word Nerd, even though, as per the original definition of the word (a socially awkward person obsessed with science and technology,) Bob isn't even a nerd! Most people today who get the "nerd" label tossed at them haven't picked up a math or science book since they were in high school, but they DO have a PhD's worth of knowledge about that one anime show or tabletop game (or 90's era video-game based cartoon) that they're currently obsessed with. It was very telling a short while ago, when Bob was grouching about the movie "Revenge of the Nerds" (and trying to brainstorm a reboot of it,) that he thought the heroes should be, not guys obsessed with science and technology, but pop-culture obsessed shut ins like himself. If Bob cares about the word "nerd" so much, why is he trying to change its definition to fit someone who is MORE like himself?

Bob, stop screeching about the word "nerd". You are NOT a nerd. You aren't even qualified to tighten the average nerd's shoelaces. What you are, Bob, is a GOON. Someone who acts like his knowledge is encyclopedic, when it is in fact, very narrow. Someone who acts as if he is a likable and popular person, when he is in fact closeminded and about as pleasant to be around as a porcupine with projectile quills and a severe hiccuping problem. And when someone tries to be helpful and constructive in their criticism, you act like a French aristocrat whose silken slipper was just vomited on by a diseased peasant. It's small wonder that you hated the way that the wealthy city-dwellers were portrayed in the movie, "The Hunger Games." You identify with those murderous dickwads! You yourself would want nothing more than to lounge around on a velvet couch in a powdered wig shoveling Mario cereal into your face while watching a band of working class coal miners bumfighting over a scrap of bread.

I've written about it a few times in the past, but the TL;DR version is that his entire MO as an insufferable political faggot is to claim that Nerds themselves are entitled, specifically because, in Bob's eyes, they are preventing the rightful inheritors of vidya (read: asshole cultural Marxists like himself) from bringing us lesser peoples the glorious superior future (read: complete ideological control by his buddies, who want to turn vidya into their own personal clubhouse that sucks as much as they do). He tries to posture himself as some paragon of fucking morality, when the hilarious truth is that everyone knows he's just as much of a sped as those he complains about, and all you need to prove that is his fucking book.

His own side sees it, too - that's why so many of them cut him off and never had any intention of letting Bob into his own superior future. It's the part of Bob that makes him fucking hilarious for those witnessed the Autism Holy War play out - he threw everything at backing his side, even when he knew they were in the wrong. He sacrificed what little credibility he had left and even his career, all in a desperate bid to show others what a good ally he was and how devoted to the cause he was - which they paid him back by fucking exiling him from their clubhouse.

His entire campaign of terror on their behalf was for nothing, his influence now on the wane, his platforms completely undermined, his online reputation in ruins. And you can tell it stings him, too. He fucking knows he's wrong - and I can prove it. That's why responses like this are so fucking amusing, when he replied to someone pointing out that nerds being forced out by the Cultural Hegemonist crowd was responsible for many of these conflicts:

Nerds can react to being bullied for a hobby in several ways - usually by learning to cease giving fuck what people think and enjoy their nerd hobbies in peace. More aggressive and/or vengeful nerds might do so by humiliating the source of their discomfort, spreading rumors about them, or more rarely, hulking out in an act of nerd rage and kicking their tormentor's ass.

Sometimes, much more rarely, however, a Nerd takes home the wrong lesson and decides that they are, in fact, in the wrong for being a nerd in the first place, and take to heart the lesson that the bullying they are receiving is justified on some basic level. While they continue to enjoy their nerd hobby, they instead grow to despise the others who share that same hobby, arguing that the hobby itself needs to be improved - coincidentally by the people who bulled them in the first place - in order to be ascended above its nerd fandom.

Bob Chipman is the ideological equivalent of an abused child who grew up and perpetuated his own vicious cycle by abusing others.
