Ackshuaaaalllly, Freddie Mercury was bisexual. Leave it to Bob to contribute to bi-erasure!
Mercury also wasn't Arab, but Parsi, and Parsis have virtually no presence in Western pop culture and media aside from Mercury (meaning that they also have significantly less representation than blacks and even Arabs). Bob is thus not only contributing to bi-erasure, but also Parsi erasure. WTF, he needs to stop being such a bigot

Still rambling about Covington while invoking his superior future nonsense.

Bob and his ilk still can get over the fact that they’re wrong. It’s amazing how quickly this whole debacle blew up on them. The kids surrounding the Indians turned into the Indians getting in their faces. Build the wall chants didn’t happen. The fake black Muslims turned into real black Israelites spewing racism. It turns out the incident that sparked so much vitriol was nothing like what they thought it was and they can’t let it go. Maybe if they didn’t invest so much into their ideology, they wouldn’t be so desperate to defend assholes and attack kids. Also, hey look, Bobs telling us the kids that said homosexuality was fine, and racism is wrong are the inferior past, whoops. It’s really funny to watch bob try to push his superior future in this situation when his side was made to look like sheep willing to be led off a cliff if it meant their bodies might inconvience trump supporters.

His Twitter has been non-stop Democrats/Black Panther dick sucking.

However, there is this.

I mean, he's not wrong.
Same, though Cats would be probably be the Vice/Green Book/Bohemian Rhapsody of 2019 for him.

Hot damn, I’m beginning to wonder if he has a poster of AOC on his wall in his basement and jerks off to it because Bob and AOC are pretty similar to one another.

It's adorable that Bob honestly believes Black Panther is going to be studied in film schools in twenty years. In reality it will be forgotten by most much sooner than he thinks.
Oh, it will definitely be studied, but in the same way people study Spaghetti westerns as an over saturated genre from a past decade. It, and pretty much all super hero films won’t be studied for artistic merit.
Looking at them with an honest eye and not letting my personal taste interfere, I think Logan and Into the Spiderverse are the only super hero films that stand to receive actual critical analysis in film school in the coming decades. Both movies went well beyond the typical super hero schlock and did so with visually interesting camera and film techniques that were more than just cgi aliens.

Black Panther is this year’s Fury Road, a absolutely bland movie getting all the nominations for BS reasons. It will probably win about 7 if it’s nominations. I actually foresee A Star Is Born as the big winner this time around. It’s very much a La La Land situation, where Hollywood loves musicals that glorify something of their history, regardless of quality. But in top of that, it’s an actor turned director, which the academy loves to promote. If it doesn’t win best picture, Bradley Cooper will likely win best actor.

I agree, the only superhero movies I could see being studied for artistic merit in the age of capeshit are the ones you said, the Dark Knight for setting a standard for darker superhero movies, Infinity War for culminating the whole Cinematic Universe shit, and possibly Iron Man for being the start and improving a seemingly fallen actor's career.

Bob is indeed delusional for also thinking the Oscars mean the film is of quality because no one ever remembers Crash save for how it snubbed Brokeback Mountain. It's very rare for a genuinely good movie to win Best Picture, and I am not sure that Bob is aware the voters don't even watch the nominees.

Dark Knight, I feel along with Superman ‘78, will be studied way more than Black Panther.

The last great film that deserved to win and did so was No Country for Old Men. And even then, the Academy likely awarded it just so they could give the Coen Brothers their big Oscar moment.

Yeah, the people who believe the Oscars go to actually good movies these days(they did before the 80’s) are probably the same people who think 100% on Rotten tomatoes means it’s a perfect movie instead of it just meaning that every critic who reviewed it considered it good(it could be all 7/10 and still be 100%}

The irony is that there are some movies people like yet don’t know why they won Oscars. The two biggest examples are Braveheart and Gladiator.
