Interesting footnote for Fallout spergs: in the original concept for Junktown, the town got a bad ending if you sided with Killian -- the law became so draconian that the town wasn't much more than a prison -- while if you sided with Gizmo, the casino made so much money that the town flourished and he kept the place safe because it was in his interest to do so. The higher ups were uncomfortable with the idea that the optimal outcome required siding with the bad guy, and it didn't happen.

So yeah, Bob ain't no fuckin' Gizmo, beyond the fatness.

He lives in a basement. He's been very clear it's not his mother's place, but I don't know if he's ever denied it belongs to some other relative. The only candidate we're aware of would be his brother. Either way, yes, he is a cellar dweller.

Tywin Lannister does not see people in black and white like Bob does, and he is actually willing to make concessions and keep people alive that he disagrees with because he understands their position in the world. MovieBob's morality is "HUR DUR RIGHT WING BAD" which is such an idiotically simple morality that its laughable to even compare Tywin to MovieBob. I feel insulted just reading this.

Tywin Lannister willingly served a king he considered to be a drunken fool. Partly because, yes, he could manipulate him completely by virtue of controlling the pursestrings, but also because there was nothing to be gained from the civil unrest that would result from replacing him. Bob would never suffer working for a guy he thought was an idiot, and is probably incapable of manipulating anyone less feeble than the bag boy with Down's syndrome at his local supermarket. (And probably not even that guy.)

On a side note, I really respect actors who can play a character lacking in any virtue and make it stick. Gleeson's Joffrey is both terrifying and appalling.
