The Universal nintendo land doesn't really sound all that great.
Videogames and Videogame based rides make terrible attractions unless they're a ride-on ride like the Buzz Light year/Toy Story target blast dark ride. Years ago Disney had something called Disney Quest which was this big huge arcade set-up with original arcade games as well as areas rented out by companies like sega to have kiosks advertising games and to offer playable demons(Disney Quest was my first experience playing Panzer Dragoon Saga since that's what they were pushing)
Now then Theme Parks like Disney and Universal are not cheap so parents really are not going to appreciate kids playing stuff that they could play at home, so nintendo game demos with Smash Brothers and other shit are probably a bad idea. Second Nintendo really only has two major franchises, Mario and Zelda. You could say "BUT WHAT ABOUT MARIO KART AND SMASH BROTHERS????" both of those games feature Mario characters and Zelda characters so they're still just mario and Zelda. Metroid hardly anyone knows about, F-Zero is dead, and no way in hell will they make a fire emblem thing because that's still to close to Zelda in themes.
So the theme park will be comprised of mostly Mario and Maybe some Zelda eventually. If you're familiar with the Harry Potter part of Universal, it's not a full day park. There's some stuff to do but not a whole lot, the main part about that park are the photo locations and the shopping, everything is fucking overpriced. Harry Potter's layout is the main reason why Disney thought it was a wise idea to make Galaxy's Edge the way it is and that's already witnessed a major decrease in park traffic because people realized that Galaxy's Edge is a glorified shopping mall after the honeymoon period wore off.
Now then what attractions could they make with mario themes? Well we are not going to reference old school mario because old school mario was generally fucking weird and rough around the edges. Super Mario brothers 2 is a black sheep for a reason and let's not forget Donkey Kong, Donkey kong jr and Donkey Kong 3, all of which have been replaced in media by the SNES rendition of Donkey Kong. So they're going to opt for New Super Mario which means you're going to get that sterile clean look that people have grown accustomed to since the wii.
So while you may get a ride involving cars to reference mario kart, mario's only other defining feature is jumping. There are not a whole lot of existing theme park ride templates that can utilize jumping outside of kiddy land playgrounds. A big thing for Orlando theme parks is to cater towards fatasses in rascal scooters so anything involving physical activity is out the window(it's true they have the highest amount of fat scooter people at any given orlando theme park, it was one of the primary reasons they stopped the orca shows at Sea world there was no point since people could view these land whales for free). There's also maybe making a pipe maze for people to go through, but yeah mazes fucking suck as theme park attractions. You don't shell out all that money to go into a maze.
Now the other big thing at Universal are Ride Simulators where the sides and front of the ride in pod are movie screens. Gone are the things like King Kong The Ride where you were actually in a real tram car going above a real scale set of NYC because you were supposed to be tracking Kong from the skies. Also Back to the Future is closed and they will never ever put that much effort into rides again. So yeah Universal is really big into these fucking cheap ass ride simulators.
So basically for this nintendo land You're maybe left with a car Ride, a Dark Ride, Simulator ride, and maybe a 4-D Movie like what they did with Shrek, and maybe a halfassed attraction like a maze or two and a fuckload of stores that sell nintendo merch.
It won't be a full day park it will be something you maybe spend an hour or two at most before you run out of shit to do.
