Wait...does Bob actually own a gun?

Or is he just bullshitting to try and deflect any criticism?

Bob strikes me as the kind of person whose firearms experience consists solely of playing Duck Hunt with one of those old Nintendo Zapper light guns.

According to him he owns some kind of handgun. If he's telling the truth, it's probably just a legacy gun that was willed to him by some relative of his.

I'm pretty sure I heard that he said he had some kind of revolver so I went back in the thread looking

When he brings it up it seems like he's trying too hard to give the impression that he really doesn't care guys, honest.

I would say that Miramax somewhat counts considering they existed to pick up more independent style films and ones that were more of a gamble, similar to Fox Searchlight today which I am glad that Disney isn't shuttering.
That’s a fair argument, I just personally believe that a movie shouldn’t be allowed to count as indie if it has money from any of the big studios coming to it.
Searchlight was the only interesting fox studio left, so they would have been insane to shut it down. Fox 2000 needed to die though

Iirc, 20th Century Fox and Fox Searchlight were the only ones left under Disney. I think they’ll have 20th Century Fox be their successor to Touchstone.

They also kept the animation studio that makes the Ice Age movies.
My guess is they’ll use 20th Century to add the iconic intro back into the Star Wars movies
But now we’re getting off topic. Though, Bob is like the moon from majoras mask and his angry mug will crash into any topic regardless

That is rather incorrect as unless he is using .38spl in the revolver, that is somewhat of a higher dollar revolver considering I work with them and .357 is more than plenty to put most if not all people down with a couple of shots. If he was talking about Taurus Model 80 or other .38spl revolvers, then he might have a leg to stand on. Regardless, I don't like when Bob talks about stuff he knows nothing about, which is 99% of things.

Yeah, a 'Honda Civic' of revolvers would be the aforementioned Taurus or an S&W J-Frame or Ruger SP101. To his credit Bob does his best to give off the impression that he doesn't care about guns at all outside the most utilitarian reasons because that's for icky mayo ghouls instead of trying to pass himself off as some fudd wheelgun expert.

Tarantino and Rosri

Tarantino has never made an independent film, Disney through Mirmax funded most of his works including Reservoir Dogs and Pulp Fiction. I can’t say Rodriguez hasn’t, but his situation is very similar. Kevin Smith meanwhile funded Clerks by crashing his car for an insurance payment and maxing our credit cards and then filmed the whole thing at night in the grocery store he worked at while also working his regular shift during the day. That’s true indie cinema right there

Smith also sold off his entire Silver Age comic collection to finance Clerks; I remember reading about him talking about it in Wizard Magazine and how (of all things) the books that he regretted selling the most were the Ditko written/drawn issues of Hawk and Dove.

In case you want to know what "backwards thinking" got Bob's panties in a bunch.

Here's a shock: he's still sperging out over it.

Bob, there is NO SUCH THING as progress. Evolution is a reactive force - human psychology adapting to changing conditions, which affect human psychology going into the future, which causes said humans to alter their environment even further. To Progressives like Bob, "Progress" is a white country offshoring all of its heavy industry, opening its borders, doling out free welfare and cheap jobs to illegals while jailing its own native citizens for "hatespeak" if they complain about foreigners driving down wages and driving up the cost of living. Know what else is a reactive force, Bob? Backlash. Like the kind of backlash that happens when a group of people who've been screwed over by their own government vote for a candidate that actively promotes their own interests. (Which is something that YOU call "racist," Bob.) Life isn't a video game. A country doesn't stay stable just because it's people have reached a certain "Level." And complex civilizations that rely on interconnecting trade routes, a constant influx of resources, and just-in-time supply chains have a tendency to go "Kablooey" rather quickly once a wrench has been tossed into the works.

Here are some examples:

Part of me hopes the apocalypse happens in Bob's lifetime, because we all know he's going to wind up strapped to a board mounted to the front of the lead marauder's car all Mad Max style, and the sight of that will be hilarious.

Yeah, that man had a lot of passion, and unlike Bob, he did whatever it took to see his dream come true.
He’s kind of a prick these days though

But muh End of History though.
You can't expect a Superior individual like Bob to believe that theres no set guideline or narrative for human civilization to follow, only a million different chances and outcomes for each and every decision and event.
That's fucking Inferior talk there friendo.
Humans are destined to have moon wheat and starships because the priests the academics said so.
Whig History was a mistake and so was Neoliberalism.

I would ask if he thought countries were all just playing a game of Civilization, but even then Bob would barely understand that in a 4X game like Civ, you need your fuckin' farmers and cant push all your people to science and production. Cause if you do, guess what? You never grow, which means your total output is knee capped. You gotta drop a farm out on that wheat tile, you gotta build granaries (and fast, typically it's my first building in Civ V), you have to feed your people if you want to get literally anything done. In the end, food is everything, and you gotta have someone go out and fucking get it.

What I'm saying is, is if Bob ever played Civ V, he would rush whatever tech let's you "Produce Science", set all of his cities to do nothing but that, never send Workers out to develop tiles, and be really confused when Gandhi somehow got nukes first and dropped them on his fat ass.

"I won't take a picture of it because it's not special, but I will mention it repeatedly as part of my internet tough guy act."

I'm still not entirely convinced this gun exists. If it does, Bob must be tempted to grab it and run around waving it at any white person who looks like they may have lived in a rural area every time someone makes fun of him online or he gets news about Trump or Republicans being successful at something. Then he gets tired just thinking about it and decides to make more angry tweets instead.

I can see him having one, whether or not he actually shoots it or does even the most basic maintenance on it is another thing. I do think that despite his repeated insistence that he really doesn't care about it as anything more than a tool or what anyone thinks of it, he is on some level afraid the in-crowd Twitter progressives he seeks asspats from will look down at him for it. Wouldn't want to be like those dumb rednecks and their evil gun culture of course, that's got no place in the superior future.

Oh the takes are starting bois and of course there’s a Marvel movie reference!

I know when I watch Falling Down it makes me wanna goose step everywhere and oppress people I view as “the other” and constitutional rights. When Michael Douglas says “Now you’re gonna die wearing that stupid little hat. How does it feel?” I think “That’s right privileged, old white man become the best kind of obsolete!”. When he kills that literal Nazi I go “The free market let him make a business and and become kinda successful he deserves death! Yeah fascism!” LMAO
