I'm not sure if he's ever been that direct but I'm sure we can all infer that that's what he's thinking. Kinda like he's never called for the death of the Midwest but thinks it'd be fine if it suffered a plague.
Eleanor Amaranth Lockhart, formerly known as Luke Lockhart, has a history of hospitalization for mental illness and an extensive thread over in the Rat King forum. He's a pretty sad case, and would be hard to make fun of if his takes weren't so balls-out insane.
"You think my favorite shit is base commercial trash? Your favorite shit is just as bad!". Though I can't think of the connection between Scorsese and "global data-collection behemoth".
And shouldn't Bobby venerate "global data-collection behemoth" because they build Superior Future?
The "global data-collection behemoth" might be Netflix, assuming the argument is between watching modern capeshit in theatres the moment it comes out vs. delving into the classics.

He has such a bizarre complex about the midwest because Robert Chipman knows that he physically resembles the stereotypical fat, obese, midwest trucker slobs that frequent asian massage parlors to a T.

He's also stated that there should be some sort of governmental mechanism for overriding the will of the people if it's stupid. The thing is, that in a democracy, the will of the people is the highest authority, and if it isn't, what you have isn't a democracy any more. Therefore, Bob has implied that democracy is bad without stating it outright.
Like many other things, Robert's stance on democracy is incredibly inconsistent. Unsurprising, Robert supported the Electoral College during in the Obama era as it gave him a result he liked:
Unsurprisingly, when democracy (both direct and representative) gives Robert a result he doesn't like, it is a failed system that needs to be refined/ removed.
“UNREAL to me that there's a genuine chance, amid #brexit backlash, to set down a real "fuck democracy when its the votes of regressive idiots who don't count" precedent and so-called progressives are afraid to seize the moment. Opportunity staring them in the FACE.”
“Wow. It was only for three years, but between #Brexit and Bolsonaro I'd kinda forgotten what it was like for us to NOT be the shittiest excuse for a "democracy." https://t.co/BxF3x0Hamc”
“Even if Trump doesn't do a SINGLE thing he's promised, the simple facts of his existence has lessened the office, wounded value of democracy https://t.co/76CfietHbZ”
However, one thing that remains consistent with Robert's stance on democracy is his distaste for those evil troglodytes voting. And something should be done about that.
“@BootlegGirl @Wiccanish It's possible we could have like 20-30 years of "The Democrats," "The Other Democrats" and "The Racist Party" (with like 2 Senate seats from Kansas or wherever.)”
In short, @Jack Awful is correct about Robert's stance on democracy. He despises both direct and representative democracy as it may lead to results he won't like. He wants either a one party state or make it pretty much impossible for people he disagrees with to vote.

I want to talk about this for a bit, what, in Robert's mind, is considered something minor to vote on? Practically anything that has to be voted on is not going to be minor, from something small like filling a hole in the road to even changing up city infrastructure, so what the hell is minor and major in his mind?
I have no idea why anyone would ever think that CinemaRobert is a bitter person! He spreads so much love and positive vibes on a daily basis! Especially to conservatives and working class Americans.
He gets so mad when you point out that his reviews haven't improved or changed in over 10 years, and that the only thing he did actually makes him more annoying. Because arbitrarily cutting out pauses just because you want to mimic the more successful Australian doesn't work Bobby.
He also shows super massive ultra-mental subnormality by thinking we'd somehow crack the Alcubierre Drive, Efficient Delta-V and Specific Impulse Drives, Sapient AI, and Transhumanism via Neuroprinting in just three years... somehow. Not only that, for a technocrat and "intelligent" person, he also shows his arrogance and fear of death by stating that his conscious is "immortal". What a smoothbrained ape.
Also love how volcanic he got when he was told just how pointless the Oscars are. I guess Bobby doesn't understand what the hell an Industry Award is, because the Oscars never were about what the best film was, it was what the industry liked the most. Which is usually shit that makes them feel smart, gives them memberberries, and so o... oh. That's what Bobby got mad; he has the same reasoning as those parasites.
But nahh, in all seriousness; the Oscars are worthless. All industry awards from the Hugos to the one fishmongers have are worthless you doof.
Citizen Kane - largely regarded as the best film EVAR, is memorable because of its shadowy cinematography, which came about because the filmmakers didn't want the audience to see how cheap some of the sets were.
Citizen Kane was also brilliantly written and acted. There were also things like Welles tearing up a floor to get a better shot(below). Absolute madman. There's also the historical angle which was that it was a shot at Hearst.
I don't know that I consider it the best there's ever been but that is because I don't believe such a movie exists. There are so many movies and so many of them achieve a level of excellence that is emotionally moving. Sadly we see less and less of them though they still exist they just don't get the big screens.

Blob doesn't have opinions he has positions that he shifts when it is advantageous to his mental state and who he thinks is consuming his content. His whole shtick was never really committing to anything while using as many large words as he can fit into a video or Tweet.
It's been pointed out before, but for someone who's obsessed with movies Bob actually knows very little about moviemaking as an industry. He doesn't know how movies are written, pitched, produced, story-boarded, cast, filmed, directed and edited. He knows very little about how they're financed, how they're distributed, how they're marketed, how the profits are paid out. He knows almost nothing about awards.
And he has no excuse for this. It's literally his job and he has nothing but time to educate himself on all aspects of filmmaking. And he doesn't. Most of the time he can't even be bothered to check something on wikipedia or IMDB before he gives out one of his hot takes. It points to his essential laziness ("Why should I bother?") and his intellectual limitations ("Why do they do it like this? I don't understand, so I'm not interested.").

Maybe he justs tweets about it so that if someone coincidentally makes a movie that is similar to his dumb pitches he could (somehow) put a copyright suit on the studio and get royalties for doing the bare minimum.
"The Oscars don't matter, lol"
"Wow! What a bitter, miserable person!"
While Robert has said nastier and stupider things, this may be the most autistic thing he's ever said for how emotionally tone deaf it is. No Bobbie boy, normal people do not tie their happiness in to award shows for rich and famous people that they have no connection to.

Thing is, Bob isn't really a critic, he's a childish consumer. He's not interested in evaluating movies for their strengths and shortcomings, he just wants to sit and clap at the spectacle on the screen, the louder, brighter and quippier, the better. His vision of the process of moviemaking is probably similar to the one he has of science, an arcane process that magically delivers a ready product for him to enjoy. The boring details can be left to the corporations that he unquestioningly trusts to make the miracle happen.
The reason that he can style himself as an insightful reviewer despite his simplistic view of things is that nowadays it's popular among critics to judge movies based on nebulous things like "themes", which often have little to do with quality and much with personal bias. This way, Bobo can enjoy his spectacle, then either regurgitate something he read on Twitter or come up with an exceptional take in two seconds and pass it off as enlightened commentary, earning the approval of his audience, such as it is, with minimal effort. He has no incentive to do more thorough research for what is supposedly his job and utterly lacks the curiosity to do so on his own initiative.
Galaxy Quest is the only movie that changed genres as time went on, it went from Science Fiction to Fantasy, because we live in a world where Star Trek turned out much much worse than what was depicted in Galaxy Quest.
And don't be one of those people proclaiming "b-b--b-but it predicted THE ORVILLE!!!!" not enough people watch The Orville to even bother holding a large fan convention. Bronies are more organized and numerous.

I know, right? I mean, something as small as changing a speed limit will, statistically speaking, kill people (or prevent people from being killed). If you only believe in your system of government until people start dying, then you don't believe in your system of government, period. So what counts as minor to Bob? Probably anything that doesn't personally affect him, at least according to his warped mind. "Kansas legalizing hard drug sales and letting in the Mexican cartels? Eh, local matter." Major? Anything that personally affects him. "THEY WANT TO BAN THE GAME Big-Titted Secret Service Agents Crush Obese Diabetic White Men's Heads Between Their Thighs?! THIS IS AN OUTRAGE! KINK-SHAMERS! MISOGYNISTS WHO HATE STRONK WAHMEN! OBSOLETE INVISIBLE SKY DADDY-BELIEVING MAYONNAISE-SKINNED SUBHUMANS!"
