I do agree with him about Twitter, but not because he got pushback for trying to contact a guy's employer while white knighting for his toxic tard brother. If anything, that's a sign Twitter's environment may be improving.

This is classic "cancel culture" bullshit. You never say you want someone fired outright, because of course you are the one that will look bad in the end, you try to shame others by association and thus leaving no other option other than the person in question being ostracised. Note that when this happens, the people who are responsible for the "cancelling" always, always come out to say "it was never my intention to have *person* to lose their job, i just wanted to bring forth a concern I had about their behaviour".

Yup. Fat fuck knew exactly what he was doing when he did it, and the potential (hell, likely) ramifications of it. It's all about that implausible deniability. If he really doesn't support that game (and he absolutely does), he's lucky he ran into someone self-employed and willing to teach him a lesson in humility. One that sadly won't stick, of course, because it's Bob we're talking about.

That is why both Chipman brothers started to freak out when Jack went ahead and started to mess with them, because this cancel culture bullshit ain't so hot right now, and Robert sure as fuck doesn't have much goodwill or clout that will stop him from getting a barrage of insults and bad press on twitter.

I also low key agree with Robert over that it's kinda weird that the guy would pretend to fire himself to teach them a lesson; Robert clearly doesn't care about the livelihoods of his 'enemies', so what lesson is there to be learned? This just seems pointless on all sides, apart from the hilairity of his book being read out loud and mocked.

- Some guy named Jack from LA made fun of it, but all he did was to read the fucking thing with a voice.

-Robert takes offense and says its making fun of his grandmother for the whole twitter to see it. His sister e-mail the Jack guy and the Brother goes full "internet tough guy" on twitter, which is just embarrassing.

- Jack calls Robert out by having his siblings talk shit to him, Robert goes to twitter and @ one of the fat ass's friend and his audience in trying to shame them into being associated with such a bad person.

-Jack uses the twitter user for his twitch page to fuck around with Robert and his brother by making them believe it is a company that employs him, which is technically true. They bite the bait and suggest something should be done with the guy, but are very carefull to say they don't want be involved in any firing of sorts.

-Jack releases the DMs with the Chipman Brothers and shows everyone that they are willing to whine and moan to a person's employer because they read the Robert's godawfull book in a tone of mockery, which is just a bitch move.

-Everybody laughs, Chris leaves twitter in a tard rage and Robert attempts to make some weak sauce comebacks but now they are just plain embarrassed, so now he is going to keep on low, pop-culture garbage hot takes and re-tweets about pop-culture garbage for a while.

Sure, simple for us and at hindsight, but the thing about Robert is, the man is a sperg.

While not batalantly self evident like, let's say Chris-Chan, the man definitely has some issues. He might be kicking himself now, but when he wrote the damn book, he genuinely thought he was delivering a heartfelt tome about his feeling concerning Mario and growing up, and we are supposed to relate and endear to Robert's experience.

Problem is, he is incompetent and awkard, I mean, he starts the fucking book mentioning that Miyamoto saved his life ("in more ways than he knows", whatever the fuc that means). That is why I mentioned Tommy Wiseau, because like him, Robert can't quite grasp the finer points of human interaction and how we react to things, that is why he comes across in such a bizarre fashion on his book and on twitter.

I mean, Robert isn't quite a weirdo like Wiseau either, but there defenitly is something amiss with the guy, and whenever he tries to open up, it shows. That is why he was at his strongest back when he just started movie reviews at the escapist, while not having the same wit and charisma as Yahtzee, they were fun and Robert could pass as someone who had some idea of what he was talking about.
