A hell of a lot more people than Antony Beevor back this up, including the testimonies of many, many, many german women, some of whom were important public figures. Besides that we have confessions on the Russian side recorded by Belorusian history Svetlana Alexievich for her book War's Unwomanly Face (pg. 33 & 386) which was written not to demonize the Red Army but to champion the women in it, and the account of Russian writer and former Red Army artillery officer Aleksandr Solzhenitsyn in his poem "Prussian Nights" about what he personally witnessed. Considering that the Soviet Union was covering this stuff up for half a century, I'm not sure what other fucking evidence you're expecting that's more solid than testimony from both sides. Soviet soldier sperm saved in the freezer?
American historians William Hitchcock and Norman Naimark (pg 108-109, 112, 114-115) and British historian Geoffrey Roberts (pg 152-153) have also done extensive research on the subject. American Professor Atina Grossmann has written on the subject as well. British historians Richard Overy also weighed in on the consensus, when Russia banned Beevor's book. On the other side of the issue we've got the very unbiased likes of former Soviet general Makhmut Gareev and Vladimir Putin, who again, was so confident in Soviet apologist arguments against Beevor's book that he banned it so Russian people couldn't read it and decide for themselves.
I've notice that Soviet war crime deniers have a habit of name dropping the Nazis as a source of any information that makes the Soviets look bad, and treat that like an instant win, or like it proves anything at all, because anything a Nazi has ever said must automatically be a lie according to idiot logic, no matter how many other sources agree. Should never have listened to those German rocket scientists who helped us get to the moon.
