Considering Lovecrafts childhood that we was as functional as he was is nothing short of a miracle. He actually in some ways is an anti-bob in that he's able to overcome his obvious mental problems and live a rich (if troubled) life, wereas Bob sabotaged attempts to help him. He was a man of letters who wrote a great deal and despite the popular imgage had a rich deep social life, wereas Chipman sits in his basement being a cunt on twitter. Chipmans bigoted tendancy's have aggravated over time and is potentially genocidal wereas as Howard was willing to moderate his views as his peers discussed it with him and loathed violence. Finally Lovecraft was a groundbreaking writter which I consider more useful to a society than a hack critic.
Edit-Also Lovecraft was thin and dressed like a gentleman whereas Chipman is morbidly obese and dresses like a nerd.

I think he retweeted this as it's one of the troons he inexplicably likes and he's talking about the working man screwing him out of hormones to keep menopause at bay. I'm not the smartest Barnhardt, look up my criminal record for proof of that, so I didn't know that someone without a uterus could have a periods, menopause and icky girl stuff like that. A quick search showed me wrong and trans women CAN suffer from symptoms of theses type things. I acknowledged my privilege and the lived experiences of the troon doc and the user right below her who suffers from bloating and mood swings as a sign of HER period regardless of the fact that she states she doesn't have the pluming.
All joking aside, I do not know what makes Bob back such insanity. If I were to hazard a guess I'd initially wager on one of a few things:
1. Bob sees the trans community get away with some incredibly questionable things and their ability to shout most people down DESPITE making up such an insignificant portion of the populace. Because of this temporary "power" they have, he wants to be on their side in the hopes he can wield some of it like theuseful idiot good ally he is.
2. Bob is so angry at anything that resembles mid america or the trad lifestyle that he willfully throws aside his dogmatic belief in science to proudly support dick chopping and the public funding of it as a way to snub his nose at and possibly damage that way of life.
3. Bob is really so dumb he thinks that someone who had a crater carved into their pelvis can have menopause.
We've made jokes about Bob being a tranny chaser but I don't fully buy it. Bob's not clever enough to hide such a thing and his thirsting for real women is so pathetic and juvenile that I buy it as legit especially for him. Maybe we'll never know exactly what's the impetus behind all of this and that's why I continue to find Bob so fascinating.
One last reminder: Y'all have 8 days to buy the three remaining things on Bob's ebay page and shipping on the crock pot is now less than the crock pot itself.

If he hates middle america so much why did he get Buffalo Wild Wings for his Oscar party which is a sports bar chain?
I mean between the room full of fat people who all worked at a video rental place, the piles of shit separated by baby gates, and the general schlubbiness of the room, that looked about as sterotypical middle america as you can get.
Bob isn't exactly routinely going to country clubs and eating fine dining. Hell most people with money will get catering from local establishments and will avoid chain eateries all together.
Or they'll get a platter from costco or something, but not Buffalo Wild Wings.
Especially since Costco has the garlic and spices chicken wings.

That's simple. In any competition between Bob's principles and food, he's always gonna choose the food. As for food quality, well, Bob's always going to choose quantity over quality. He'll always make the choice that ends up with him having larger quantities of greasy food to shove in his fat misshapen face.

I work with a bunch of highly educated, high quality people, most of whom have food allergies of some sort - gluten, dairy, etc. Trying to order food for a company party involves stopping at several different restaurants and/or putting in special orders.
For one of Bob's family parties, all he has to do is go to the local BBDubs and grab cartons of tendies. There appear to be no allergies and sensitivities in his family. That could be because they're a group of genetically superior ubermenchen but IMHO, it's more likely because Bob and his kin have no self-awareness when it comes to health. They will mindlessly stuff grease into their mouths, and when immune reactions turn their stomachs into cement mixers, they just chalk it up to "indigestion."

Lovecraft was actually pretty poor in life due to a mix of his brain problems and just not getting all that much money or popularity outside of writing circles at first, but you were spot on when you mentioned he had a shitload of writer friends who were willing to help him out and genuinely liked him.
Bobby's biggest wish is to have friends like what Howard had, but that ain't happening with his fucked up personality and tendency to creep on women and troons.

Anger is the appropriate reaction here. In his fervor to defend the Chinese and his infinite self-regard that leads him to sneer at others as bigots, Bob completely ignores this guy pointing out China's use of slave labor, which goes along not just with its disregard for human rights and individual freedoms, but neatly dovetails with its sweeping bigotry -- just try being a Muslim Uighur or Falung Gong practictioner. You're seeing the occasional glimpse we get at the moral monster slithering under Bob's layers of blubber, and anger is natural.

Yeah, that's one threshold that Robotics still haven't been able to climb, the ability to work efficiently in a non 100% controllable environment, meaning if you need the robot to make any decision by itself, and adapt it's movement and spatial awareness, it is usually way, way slower than a human worker.
There is a reason on why robots work so well in assembly lines, where they just have to do a repeated mechanical work, than, let's say, farms. Tons of investments were made, but we are still far, FAR away from 100% automated farms.
Maybe Robert is right, and maybe the fully automated future is there, but we have some serious logistics problems to solve, stuff that needs to be revolutionary, and the harsh truth is, at one point, some of the answers we can't 't find, maybe it's because it there isn't one.
It's one of the arguments that scientists make when explaining that there is no way for mankind to explore space Star trek like. There just isn't a viable way to travel in the necessary speed without breaking the very laws of physics, and so far, we don't even have the slightest idea how we can even aproach that.
Robotics is an interesting topic because at the same time it makes huge strides everyday, it is one of those fields that have such imense walls like movements, adaptations, ect that bit by bit shows the potential and limitation of thechnology, showing that while robots can do amazing things, the jetsons future we all dreamed may be just that.
Still, sad to see that such a good endeavor has to be used for petty "revenge" by Robert.
