The really sad part is the realization that a lot of movies are steadily getting worse - which comparatively pushes up the quality of the Marvel movies which are at least maintaining basic competence.

Sure there's a lot of movies better than Marvel, but compare it to the Rise of Skywalker and it looks like Shakespeare.

Yeah, It's remarkably sad that the reason I see Infinity War as the 'deep' Marvel film is because their villain isn't a 2-D caricature because they put a minor about of interesting character into his character. Endgame didn't even bother with that, he was just an asshole in that film who got off on killing people, whereas Infinity War Thanos was an asshole that killed people but felt bad about doing it and felt bad about sacrificing things for his mad goals.

But iirc, both Infinity War and Endgame kinda has the same issue with the later Harry Potter films, where there are times where I felt that they sort of made the plot unnecessarily darker and edgier just for the sake of being darker and edgier at times which exacerbated the slow walking issues.

I've mentioned it before, but my theory is that the only reason big breadtuber/leftists haven't called out Robert for being a piece of shit is because he's useful.
