Hey lads not really a regular here, not even really that much of a fan of this place, BUT I hate moving picture robertson so I thought I'd share this. Reached out to Lindsay Ellis with some of his tweets, and got this email in response, it seems all the speculation is correct and she doesn't seem to like the dude at all, even professionally as "colleagues". Feel free to think its fake but I assure you its real.

My favorite thing about Bob’s “if I’m Harvard” fantasy tweets is either when he makes multiple grammatical and punctuation errors while denouncing “stupid children” and “Large Adult Failson” OR how clearly pained he was that people realized he didn’t understand how legacy tuition works.

Jesus he’s pathetic. And retarded.

And fat!

Bob makes his rage against women clear on a daily basis. It’s the most on-brand thing ever for a self-described male feminist. And I’m sure he has no idea where he’s revealing it. That’s how saturated in misogyny Bob’s psyche is.

Yeah pretty much dude. I wasn't going to say anything at first, because Robert does read this forum and this would keep him bothered with doubt, but like BubbleButt said, we need at least some adress. And even so, Lindsay saying "film Robert"... it's just too good to be true... Shit, at first glance, I was ready to masturbate to it.

Still, don't really care if fake or not, because the deal is: Lindsay doesn't associate with him that much is certain.

I have yet to see her reply to a single @ Robert does to her, and she does not like to suffer fools. Lindsay did jump on the lefty intersectional feminist bandwagon, but for her it was more a career move that did pay off to her, she now rubs shoulders with big names on youtube, and the last thing she wants is to hold a stance whenever Robert tweets about his superior future bullshit.

Still, Robert if you are reading this, I hope you keep @ing Lindsay dude, in hopes that one day, someday, she will see this.... bro.

Hbomberguy has called him Robert on multiple occasions, one of which caused him to sperg about not liking his full name.

He even called him "Robert Cinema" once

I'll take a guess right now that breadtubers don't like him and call him Cinema/Film Robert behind his back.

On a somewhat related note, I just asked Naomi Wu about Robert, but indirectly;

And @ArthurMorgan asked very directly;

Its not a good day for Robert :story:

Gee, I wonder if Lindsay sees tweets like this from Bob and feels totally disgusted:

I can't imagine a feminist being ok with the sentient thumb talking about women like that, even if they are conservative.

This is a real and honest woman according to Robert;

But doesn’t she know he’s “proud” of her? The presumptuous expression of pride was really fucking patronizing. As ever, Bob is a non-entity yet believes his approval matters to those he sees as his peers (who meanwhile don’t want to be associated with him under any circumstances).

I think we’ve only scratched the surface of the massive discrepancies between Bob’s self-perception and reality.

Jeez, Bob gets officially BTFO'd by two of his favourite imaginary waifus. Wonder what he'll do, if he were to acknowledge that, he'd also acknowledge he reads his own thread. But just ignoring it is also not really his thing.
Dude he’ll either reject reality and substitute his own or he’ll just throw those two under buses and hate-stalk the two.

Oh shit, now I'm imagining Bob going full red- or black-pill incel misogyny instead of his usual incel-in-denial misogyny that's only aimed at women on the wrong side of history.
That would be HILARIOUS, but sadly, Bob isn't exactly grounded in reality enough to ever break down that much. All red and black pills are overpowered by "average" McDonald's meals.

Oh, how things have changed.
Not really. Wokies, at least the actually smart ones, are worse than church ladies when it comes to the "actually hate each other and talk shit behind backs, but hypocritically talk each other up when mics or third parties are around" game. They're entirely aware their game is a glass-bottom boat sitting on an ocean a mile wide and an inch deep, and can't exist without astroturfing and social networking.

"Death of the Author" means "I can ignore what the author says about the work in my interpretation of it". My favorite example is how Tolkien claims LoTR is not an allegory because he is averse to allegories, yet I can't help seeing certain passage as anything but allegories -- and what Tolkien claims doesn't delegitimize my analysis of LoTR as a Christo-political allegory, if I choose to make such an analysis.

You know, a buddy and I were literally having a debate about this the other day, but what impact does "Death of the Author" have... on satire?

Namely, if you remove the author's intent of a work, can you ever determine if a work is satire or not? Or can you make anything satire then? (The Godfather as satire of Italian American culture...)

There's some evidence Machiavelli intended The Prince as satire, but you sure wouldn't know it from all the assholes who took it seriously over the centuries.
