We know Steve Rogers loves Peggy Carter because of their interactions with each other and the way he talks about her, we know Peter Parker loves MJ because he tries to protect her and his visible jealousy toward her other boyfriends influences his actions and affects his superpowers. The characters dialogue and physical mannerisms tell us about the intimacy of their relationships while suggesting they probably engage in hanky panky off camera. A film does not need characters engaged in full frontal fucking to tell us they love each other.
