also just realized he lumped Vegeta in the camp of guys trying to be better dads to better sons which is a colossally stupid take. Vegeta is a shitty father more often than not, and what little we saw of him suggested that King Vegeta was a better dad than him. Probably not a better person, what with the whole countless planetary genocides thing, but he seemed to care about his son growing up to be successful and well-adjusted by the standards of Saiyan society, while Vegeta usually can't give a shit about his son.
Anime makes a big deal of it in the buu saga. I have never hugged you Trunks. Come here...

I have watched a lot of DBZ...

Since you touching that matter...
Latin America is a hell hole in media tastes; praising DBZ like a gift of the gods as you said but near every try to national animation (cartoon or movies) are fucking pretty bad. And don't ask me why i know that, probably you can deduct by yourself.
Are you suggesting that Studio Brinquedo doesn't produce pure kino?

Just let men compete against women if you're going to double down on this line of logic, Diabeeto.

The idea that Buu has "daddy issues" causes me an intense migraine. Buu is just pure chaos. This nigga doesn't even know what he's talking about in HIS LINE OF WORK.

No one should take this simpleton seriously.

Then he sucker punches that little shit and the Buu saga goes on to suck further, not that Bob would have any idea or has even personally seen it.

The complete and utter lack of self awareness from these people is fucking chilling.
That's the thing about history's monsters. They are always armed with a doubtless belief that they are justified. They don't ask themselves if what they're doing is wrong, they know they're right because they don't believe their own morals are fallible.

As CS Lewis (that inferior God-botherer) put it so eloquently:

"Of all tyrannies, a tyranny sincerely exercised for the good of its victims may be the most oppressive. It would be better to live under robber barons than under omnipotent moral busybodies. The robber baron's cruelty may sometimes sleep, his cupidity may at some point be satiated; but those who torment us for our own good will torment us without end for they do so with the approval of their own conscience. They may be more likely to go to Heaven yet at the same time likelier to make a Hell of earth."

As someone who is a fan of DBZ, Bob's insight cracks me up. DBZ is about as simple minded of a series as you can get. It was the perfect show to come home to after school when you were kid to get your daily dose of action. There was nothing more to it.

I swear to god that DBZ Abridged did more harm than good for the DBZ fandom. It made spergs believe that there were deeper themes and insights into the franchise than there actually are.

Looking at them you can see how the Spanish Inquisition, the Witch Hunts and Salem Witch Trials, the Holocaust and so on all happened when people become so zealously convinced of their own self righteousness.

I guess if they aren't stopped a genocide of white westerners will be the next great atrocity.

Nobody cares that China is already enslaving millions and harvesting their organs or having them work themselves to death.

Show about Daddy Issues, huh? Literally, Gohan and Future Trunks are the only one's you could argue have Daddy Issues. No one else in the cast gives much thought to their parents. Hell, it was only in the original dub that Vegeta showed any actual care about Frieza murdering his father. In the manga and sub, it was treated like "Yeah, killing my people was annoying, but how dare he tell me what to do!"

Seriously, I don’t know why spergs like Robert insist that She Ra and He Man are supposed to have deep messages and themes when they are campy toy commercials.

You could argue that the anime is trying to reform Vegeta in that regard, as in Super, Vegeta tries to be a better father to Present Day Trunks (TRIES being the operative word, here.) He also tries to help and motivate Future Trunks during his arc, and acts like an overprotective Dad to Bulla once she is born. The Vegeta in the original DBZ manga cared only for himself, so much so that one of his big motivations for destroying the planet Earth was that its women could produce Human/Saiyan hybrids that were stronger than he was. Super ends with Vegeta fathering two hybrid children, and going full Papa Wolf on anyone who threatens them. He's not perfect, but he's about as good a father as a man of his upbringing could have become by the end of the series. Still, the series overall doesn't harp on this much, aside from Vegeta's interactions with Future Trunks. All of the Father Drama stuff that Team Four Star featured was pretty much exaggerated by them for thematic purposes. A bigger source of Drama in the original DBZ series was Gohan's choice between becoming a scholar and remaining a warrior. The former was something he wanted to do, the latter was something he knew he needed to do in order to protect the Earth from danger. Bob doesn't mention this very prominent conundrum because he probably never watched anything other than the DBZ Abriged series, which reduces the whole thing to a running joke where ChiChi acts like a stereotypical Asian Tiger Mom to hyperbolic extremes.

Anyway, since we're talking about Genghis Khan, here's a cool song about him:

Mongolian Metal >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>KPOP Faggotry.

A man who idolizes the cartoons of Mario, Zelda, and Captain N. Shows that were deemed inferior to all He-Man Transformers, Thundercats, and GI Joe shows even back in the day. And you act surprised he attempts to find deeper meaning in better shows?

Autism.

I mean that literally too. Most adults don't watch cartoons like that or if they do it's only for a laugh. Autistics on the other hand aren't really capable of understanding the emotional nuances of adult media, so they insist that cartoons are actually tantamount to Tolstoy instead. Chris of course took that to an extreme degree by literally believing his comics represented reality in some way and he was actually a goddess.

Media for adults is shit like Star Trek Picard, a billion fucking cop shows, a billion fucking doctor shows, Netflix Shows about Bullshit Racism, and fucking Genderqueer HBO Miniseries. They're nothing to aspire to or deep either.

Lest we not forget when a Big Boy Adult Show tackled the pressing 500lb monster in the room which was Gamergate.

You're not getting good shows like TNG made today. What shows focus on for adults is shit they see on social media.

With all the discussion going on about Genghis Khan and Goku, and how Bob misunderstands Khans place in history and Gokus character I just want to point out the important fact that Goku and Genghis have gotten more Asian pussy in their lives than Bob could ever hope for no matter how much he simps for China and Naomi Wu. Goku has a wife and son and Genghis banged so many Chinese peasants at swordpoint back in the 1200s it would put the drunkest frat house or Hollywood casting call to shame. Meanwhile Bob is going to die a virgin next a hot glued Amibo of Peach.

I've talked about the Caster Semenya case in the Rhys McKinnon thread at length and I will not repeat it here. Caster Semenya is a true-and-honest biological male who successfully impregnates his wife, not "intersex".

In addition to DBZ, here is another anime that Bobby totally didn't watch:

Mulan. You are allowed to diss Mulan as long as you do it for woke points, such as the absence of an Asian director, the "hipster appropriation" of the Chi concept, and enforcing male notions of value.
