salience bias". Because TV and media are designed to be attention-grabbing, what they portray will latch in your memory stronger and are more easily retrieved, so uncritical people, like Bobby, when appraising real-life situations, will just use what float up their mind first, and that means simple-minded fiction with its black-and-white morality.
