He's made vague allusions to this sort of thing in the past, most infamously his bizarre comment that he "never makes his own plate at the cookout" or some such bullshit (surprise, surprise; when addressing sex Bob goes straight for a food metaphor). We know it's not true because a) he's constitutionally incapable of not banging his own drum for even the most meagre sorts of victories, and b) it's not just the number of tweets that proves he practically lives online; it's the timing of those tweets. As far as we can see, the only time he's not tweeting is when he's asleep, and he keeps some bizarre hours.
I suppose he could be tweeting in the middle of his copious hot dates and nights out on the town -- just look at the infamous wedding picture -- but if he were, I suspect we'd have seen some evidence by now in the form of selfies, and not pictures of a meal for one at some overpriced steakhouse.

The idea that Bob is an abuse victim cheapens the very concept of abuse to meaninglessness. I think Bob is right.
When it comes to "living online" Bob is as a shutin when compared to his peers. The twitter might seem to stand in the face of that, but his twitter is not used for socialization at all, it is used to preach, chide and signal-boost The People/Opinions That Matter, nothing else. His videos serve the same purpose, they allow bob to be heard, which is all he seems interested in facilitating.
His peers who "live online" to some degree or another spend their time tweeting back and forth in a friendly manner, even if it is just to dunk on the chuds, talking about the Product they're currently enjoying or the topics they might be interested in, wiling away the hours in cozy discords with their internet friends who hold the correct opinions, playing games and conversing as likeminded people do.
Professionally they'll collaborate, sharing audiences, generating revenue out of thin air and ensuring some form of in-group stability.
Bob does none of that, I could theorize on why that is, but seeing his body of "work" where it strays into politics and matters personal, I don't think it is a mystery as to why Bob doesn't let his guard down when he can help it. For all the "Relatively small portion of food for one person" and "I wish nazis hadn't soured people on Eugenics" takes that we know about, there's dozens he wisely keeps to himself.

You make a good point, in that Bob is rarely personable or allows himself moments of humanity on Twitter (and the people who do that to an excessive degree are merely a different sort of cow), but his implication that he does his REAL livin' offline, and man, you just wouldn't believe how AWESOME it is with the ladies and the socializin'! is pure, obvious fantasy and cope.

Even if I were to accept the premise that Bob is a victim he fits squarely in the "asshole victim" trope. It demonstrates his own child-like thought processes that he believes that he can can verbally abuse entire swaths of the country with complete impunity. The very idea that he wouldn't have a 3100+ page thread on Kiwi Farms and legions of "trolls" calling him out on his behavior if he kept his fat mouth shut never occurs to him because he is a smooth-brained oaf. Didn't he admit that he bullied other unpopular kids in Brick by Brick in a "misguided" attempt to ingratiate himself to the in-crowd? If so, then I'll call bullshit on that one. I believe that Bob was always a cruel and unpleasant bastard who took enjoyment in tormenting others he perceived as weaker and dumber than himself. That made him as tempting a target as any because no one would give a flying fuck if some jocks beat him until he resembled a misshapen eggplant. What's doubly unfortunate for Bob is that people can give as good as they can get online and he lacks the intelligence to realize that he cannot abuse others and cry victim when they return the favor.
