assigning blame based on these generation labels is retarded to begin with. "the boomers did it" "the gen Xers did it" "the silents did it" are all brainless takes that are missing the point. in reality, the boomers, the genXers and the silents all did the exact same thing that every other generation before or after them did: what society told them to.
power, responsibility, and thus ultimately blame do not lie with the general population of a generation, but specifically with the culture-creating classes: academia and media.
hippies did not magically come up with the "dude weed and free love lmao" lifestyle out of nowhere, they merely adopted the ideas that mass media fed them. 60s progressive activists didn't invent all their talking points and goals out of thin air either, they got them from academics (college professors in the social sciences) who used their teaching positions to spread their own ideology under the guise of scientific truth.
names such as marcuse, horkheimer, adorno, de beauvoir, sartre, foucault, derrida - these are the culprits you can blame. trace their works, their backgrounds, their personal histories, and their disciples, and you get a pretty good picture about the root of all this evil.
