"It would put control of our future in the hands of our best and brightest."

How exactly would abolishing the electoral college do that?
By that he means "libs from coastal big cities vote blue, and they're smart because they're libs who vote blue and live in coastal big cities, just like me".

Well, we have that very same system down here. All it changes is how candidates approach voters during election season. If he thinks the US will avoid the loathed conservatives by abolishing the EC, he's in for yet another disappointment.

Did Bill Clinton pull a Rachel Dolezal or what?
oh god i remember this piece of cringe. Author Toni Morrison (who is black) called Bill Clinton The First Black President back in the day (1990s) because of all he (supposedly) did for black people. I guess things like inventing Freddy Mac and Fanny Mae (and we all know what disasters those turned out to be, but that didn't come to fruition until the Obama years).

By that logic, Abraham Lincoln should get an honorary N-word pass.

It would give the cities power over the countryside and since Bobby thinks the countryside's full of mayonnaise ghouls he wants to essentially set up a form of feudal rule over rural areas.

I'd have thought his qualifications for best and brightest were a little more strict than just whoever votes blue but, yeah, I guess he really is that shallow.

Also,

when it comes to abolishing the EC, one argument I hear is a racial angle. The fact that more white people live in rural areas as opposed to minorities living in the city, by abolishing the EC, it gives minorities more of a say in the voting process.

Yeah. If you don't support Bob's brand of neoliberalism, which is basically ”more female drone pilots” but unironically, you're subhuman.

Unless, of course, your name's Anita, Alexandria or Ilhan, in which case you get a free pass at the cost of having Bob perv over you.

Have these people ever heard of the Black Belt?

I think he's just self-aware enough to know about the fedora atheist stereotype, so he doesn't make being an atheist his entire personality, unlike somebody like Amazing Atheist, or Lucas Werner.
Many of people have pointed out that Bob is everything he hates.
  • White trash (just look at that cooking)
  • "Misogynerd" geek/gamer
  • Fedora wearing atheist
  • Dude bro (bragging about how much he drinks, can lift, and gets laid)
  • Dumb
He's seriously talking about the 700 Club? Does he realize it's current year? When is the last time the 700 Club was relevant to anything at all?
What's the 700 club? The number of YouTube views he gets? How many plates he's not made for himself at a cookout?

God I hate how he ends every opinion with an "I feel like?" or something similar. It's so minor but it makes everything he says sound so insincere.
It's an escape hatch. If he turned out to be wrong, he can say it was just a gut feeling. It's like adding emoji's to show how not mad you are.

I'll go a bit further and say that Robert doesn't really like cape-shit or most of these disney-esque blockbuster. Same way he doesn't seem to like comics and videogames all that much either. Whenever he talks comics or videogames, you can tell he is looking from the wiki to fake being into it, and the capeshit crap is pretty much the only thing that brings him any views anymore.
I think it's the opposite. He has an unironic appreciation for goofy b-movie shit, but has to pretend there's more to it or else he'll look like one of the obsoletes who like Scarface and Deathwish. You see friendo, the obsoletes like capeshit because things go boom, he enjoys capeshit as an intellectual exercise exploring modern mythology representative of our the social milieu.

It's just like his opinions on video games. He enjoys bing bing wahoo, and gets offended when anyone says games can be more than that, but also dismisses Call of Duty as shallow 911 revenge fantasies for idiots who are scared that Zelda might make them cry.

"We are better off if all of these people just don't exist"
I didn't know Chris stormed the Capitol.

Oh, good lord....

Rhasclaat.

Gamergate was seven years ago. There are children in school today that weren't born when Gamergate happened. Will you shut the fuck up about a scandal that wouldn't have happened if Zoe Quinn hadn't shagged a games journalist for good reviews of a shite singleplayer text-based adventure?

These people are utterly psychotic. Their persistent wailing about Gamergate has collapsed into an ideology so densely stupid, no rational thought has a remote chance of escaping. While most of those on the pro-GG side have moved on while these self-styled "intellectuals and influenced" have crossed the event horizon where they wallow in their self-inflicted ignorance.

If there is any lesson to learn from Gamergate, it is the folly of the Far Left's obsession with chasing windmills.

I think for a lot of them it was an end of innocence about politics and the emergance of a tangable enemy to rally against. Purpose is a great motivator even it is meerly the illusion of it.
