LMAO dat opening 30 seconds where he admits he hates people just because they didn't shower his retarded monstah moobie with money and adoration.

Earlier I made the comparison between Bob and Alfabusa because I didn't want to make the comparison to the obvious one, Red Letter Media, as there is no comparison. But now that I've broken that dam I wanna ask how does RLM get away with mocking their audience and movie goers and Bob doesn't or maybe why does it seem that way? RLM seems to go out of their way to not have any audience interaction, outside of maybe some patreon stuff idk, and they can be mean as, if not more so just without all the swollen purple prose that Bob uses, Bob. I think it's most likely that when they complain about people they do it from a point that almost everyone can relate too. I know I've had many a movie screwed with because of noisy eaters, people loudly talking, on their phones, so on so on so forth. I don't know if I've ever expressed disdain and disgust on people because they didn't care about a cgi dinosaur. RLM also seems to come from a point of wanting things to get better, knowing that they and we the audience deserve better. Then there's Bob who just wants people to get into fucking line or get on the fucking trains. There's also the whole non interaction thingy, save for Jack and I know how most of you feel about him, so there's not really any place for them to call half the country worthless, vicious racists that need to be forcibly removed from society so that's a plus.

I might be overthinking things but who the hell else and where the hell else am I gonna be able to discuss the deeper philosophies of one Robert "The Moviebob" Chipman with than here with you fun loving weirdos?

The hilarity part of Film Robert disliking Elon Musk is it makes Bobert look like an idiot by his own standards.

Remember Thinker vs Believers and Believers are bad while Thinkers are good.

Elon is actually working on the future of Space Travel hence is a Thinker.

Bobert BELIEVES in the Future of Space Travel.
Yeah, I don't get why Bob doesn't like the Future President of Space either. Maybe because Bob thinks he would be a better President of Space?

We should probably be careful. Robert's powers could activate at any moment now!

If you are going to post the virgin age meter, at least post the better version.

Red Letter Media are completely aware of what they are; a bunch of middle-aged, overweight amateur film critics whose own movies are utter garbage.

Bob is not self-aware at all. He thinks he's a great critic, when he's not. He thinks he's smart, when he's not. He thinks he has any value whatsoever, when he doesn't.

So when RLM mocks its audience for being losers, its very self-aware of what that mockery is: losers mocking losers for watching losers.

When Bob yells at his audience for not immediately capitulating to his fevered desires, it's not that. It's a man who thinks he's better than his viewers when he's actually not, berating them for not recognizing that his desires come first over their plebeian tastes, and the end result is you get the same reaction as watching a 4-yr-old melt down in the grocery aisle over being denied a toy: mild contempt and wishing someone would shut the brat up.

Also, RLM are funny, and you can get away with a lot of stuff if you're funny. Bob wouldn't know funny if it hit him upside the head like a blue shell.

RLM is also made up of film practitioners, especially corporate film, I believe. That's a job that's not concerned with front-and-center brilliance, but invisible competence.

The fact that Red Letter Media can actually build a proper set to film their reviews on, while Bob painted a quarter of his basement green shows the gulf between their skill.

I still have not seen a convincing explanation for people censoring names on Twitter that doesn't ultimately lead to Harry Potter brain rot.
Back in the days of the Holy Autism War, pro-Gamergaters used to type ”Gamergate”, ”Zoe Quinn”, ”Anita Sarkeesian” and other terms into the search bar on Twitter and debate anti-Gamergaters who tweeted using those terms. (this is where that shitty ”sealioning” comic comes from, by the way)

To stop their hugboxes being disturbed, anti-Gamergaters started censoring those names to stop them showing up in searches. Although GG ended a long time ago, people still do that to stop disagreement from penetrating their echo chamber.

The lengths some people go to not have their feelings hurt. But i kinda get it because these people have turned their political and social causes into a religion so challenging their values is like going to a christian fundamentalist and tell him that maybe God doesn't exist.

Kinda understandable for them to not have everything they believe in proven false. But at the same time, fuck them for trying to ruin everything for everyone.

The dumb part is that Twitter is a terrible place to create echo chambers (on top of being just terrible in general). You can go from reading some neoliberal blue checked jorno, to some Marxist going on about how it was not true communism, and end up with a guy called "cum_groyper1488" going on about how the holocaust didn't happen but it should have, all in like 5-6 clicks tops.
It would easier to just go to NeoGAF or Resetera or something like that.

Thank god i left all social media behind. For what i have heard twitter is going into the gutter with the last decisions Jack has taken, but not that i give two fucks about that shit.

This is true, but it doesn't stop the left and the centre trying.

Here in Bongland we have a Remoaner and talkshow host called James O'Brien who's best known for writing a condescending book called ”How to Be Right”. Him and his comrades enjoy making block lists, to the point where half the Britbongs on Twitter are blocked by him, Owen Jones or both.

And that's before we get into the retardation that is TERFBlocker.

You choose who you follow. If you aren't following those people or following people who will retweet others like that than you won't see it on your timeline. Plus you can just block anyone or anything you don't like. It's not hard to turn it into an echo chamber. Depending on what you use to view twitter you can even block tweets using certain terms from popping up. For example on tweetdeck I blocked "Trump' because I got tired of the constant whining about Trump on my time line. I also unfollowed a ton of people I used to like who couldn't go a day without bitching about Trump and Nazis. The only time I see tweets from those kinda blue checkmarks is when someone is dunking on them in a quote tweet.

Twitter will only die when the Silicon Valley bubble bursts, and honestly there will be far, far worse things to worry about then twitter shitness when that happens. Speaking of which, when it burst will Bob kill himself in despair, blame the mayo ghouls, or underwent some radical political-philosophical realignment?

I know, but I think that would constant policing and actively avoiding stuff you don't like, especially among the more active users. Basically, it just isn't a good place for hugboxes.
