huh, so I found an amusing way to incorporate RTAAs and the podcast together, thanks to some dude who cut and pasted some of the podcast and animations.

















here's one video that I'm sure Mica's father was "happy" to see RoosterTeeth turn into one of their popular RTAAs.

From what I gathered (I haven't watched AH for about two years) they brought on Fiona for the token female because Lindsay I guess was too busy being a mom aside from adding nothing to the videos. Except they hired someone that doesn't know how to play GTA, Minecraft or Gmod which are the staples of AH because they will drive a trend into the ground if it makes them views.

So people got shitty and rather than thinking "hm did we make a bad choice" they just doubled down in saying anyone that didn't like Fiona hates women and a load of chest-puffing on the podcast and twitter about how Fiona is really funny and people just aren't getting it or whatever. Same story as before, yeah there probably were some people going after fiona because woman but also cmon it's not that hard to see why people are fucked off with her. But RT doesn't do criticism so they just decided to give fiona more screentime because giving her attention shuts her up or proves people wrong about her adding two lines of commentary to any video.

Lots of asspats and nodding of heads because nothing like jading your audience for some fake progressive points. AH is on the same slow decline as RT, really that dog should have been taken around the back of the woodshed a while ago.

There is no way no one in AH doesn't go home and just sigh at the fact that they had to add Fiona to the video. I've watched a video of an LP with her in it, and she's genuinely sounds like she's on the spectrum with her tone and pace. Maybe it's her accent, or because she's multi lingual, I don't know, nor care, because she's still annoying and doesn't add anything to the video.


This video kind of sums up how boring fiona is, as the AH crew have to hand hold her into playing a game of fucking Jackbox.

Yikes. She seems to have the DSP habit of saying whats on screen then laughing at it, you have to wonder how they hire the least suitable people for this job.

If you need to remind yourself to emote by constantly laughing at what's written on screen regardless of whether you find it comical or not, clearly you're not genuinely enjoying the job and is just there for the pay cheque.

I think of her as the Human Parrot, since a lot of the time she’ll just repeat what the person before her says. I’d find her less annoying if she just didn’t say anything.

Especially considering that young Filipinos are far more interested in titles like Fire Force, Black Clover and Seven Sins.

I remember years ago that cosplaying as RWBY had a slight spike in the Philippines from a friend informing me of a local event he attended. But, that was years ago. Interest pretty much declined since then.

Demon Slayer also beats out RWBY on that front. I mean, next to One Piece, it's like the Naruto craze all over again.
 
Watching H Bomberguy on RWBY, which I've watched very little of. How accurate is he?
It's what I expected: the guy who likes seeing his waifus fight (and make out) is not a writer who can have a grounded setting, story or characters so other people did that for him. Creating dissonance even under good circumstances. The Red trailer was all excellent style but if you expected that tempo to be matched by a story which justified it you were kidding yourself. It's not substance. It's a girl looking sad and then wiping out an endangered species.
I notice H Bomberguy often uses something being well received or popular as a way of quickly showing its appeal. Which is usually fine but this proves the limits of that. 15 million trailer views for an animation demo promising to be a show.

We can only imagine what the show would have been like if Monty Oum had managed to hook up with competent writers instead of a couple of Youtube Famous weebs.
