RWBY/Despicable Me crossover coming soon?
Rwby Vtubing? What?
See:Rwby Vtubing? What?
And the inevitable happened: V-tuber Rwby.
and:Yeah, back in July they said they’d do this.
Official V-tuber of Chrunchyroll had done a collab with V-tuber Ruby

Dammit I just came back to this thread to see if Volune 10 was happening, not for this degeneracy.
No confirmation as of yet, IIRCto see if Volune 10 was happening
Do you ever think that higher ups know that RWBY isn't getting anything further and are just trying to avoid the wrath of the fans if they ever answer the question of "Is V10 haappening?" with a hard "no"?No confirmation as of yet, IIRC
Why wouldn't it? That's the only one of their content that went mainstream and isn't outright hated (like Red vs Blue which they had to retcon several seasons to try fix how badly they fucked it up). Their heavy hitter (gen:LOCK, IIRC) that was supposed to get them big contracts with movie studios and the Holywood elites never went big and faded into obscurity in people's memory (doesn't help that it only has 8 episodes). Entirety of Rooster Teeth has built by Red vs Blue and RWBY, and they've massively fucked over every single fan of R vs B they could. RWBY is pretty much anything they have left, and is the only thing that got them massive contracts with places like Crunchyroll. Since gen:LOCK failed, all they've been doing is pushing RWBY.Do you ever think that higher ups know that RWBY isn't getting anything further
I get that. I'm just wondering if the reason we have things like VTuber Ruby is because they know RWBY isn't getting more volumes and RT knows they have to put out SOMETHING RWBY related in order to keep the lights on.Why wouldn't it? How long would this last, though? RT used to understand that such things (RWBY Chibi, Vtuber Ruby (now) ) work well to fill the gap until mainline release, but this was always supposed to be just that, temporary.SOMETHING RWBY related in order to keep the lights on.
WB recently axed the vast majority of its animated works, even stuff that was completed, in order to save money. RT is a total black mark now in terms of reputation after all the blunders that have affected the company, PR disaster after PR disaster, and Red vs. Blue has always been the other major money maker at RT and that's only getting one final season before it's killed for good. Why wouldn't it?
It seems like they might be trying to pull an EA where they axe a poorly performing studio and their properties without a satisfying conclusion ah la Dead Space. Wait for the anger to die down while building a loyal fan base that retains interest for a few years before rebooting/remastering the franchise by a competent team. It seems like it could be a winning move with the amount of fan content that is still regularly produced despite the last 6 lack luster seasons Ao3 & fanfiction.net still have regularly updating works so I think the fan base could survive hibernationmRT is a dying brand and thus so is RWBY. If RT was still begging for a greenlight by the time of RTX then I guarantee the show is dead. There is no reason to wait this long to confirm another season is on the way if it was coming.
I don't doubt that RWBY will have some sort of revival down the line by some company or another, but it will be ten or so years from now and probably be on Netflix as live action starring fat black trannies. It seems like they might be trying to pull an EA where they axe a poorly performing studio and their properties without a satisfying conclusion ah la Dead Space. That and because she also started doubting herself due to her many supposed failures (not all of which are entirely her fault, and she is in fucked up situation besides).Sounds to me her issues were because the situation was dire, and not because she hated herself.
It is inspirational from the perspective that she was offered literally any life she could have ever wanted, all the happiness everything, but despite it all she chose to be herself and stick to her friends.Am I the only one that just can’t see why people praise Ruby‘s dealing with depression so much?
I don’t see how it was realistic at all, let alone “inspirational”.
The other thing I’ve heard was “if she reincarnated or whatever, then she’d just have to learn about all the stuff she already knew about Salem AGAIN. Which would be a massive waste of time from the standpoint of the audience”.It is inspirational from the perspective that she was offered literally any life she could have ever wanted, all the happiness everything, but despite it all she chose to be herself and stick to her friends.
The method was a bit problematic, sure. It heavily relied on Summer, and I hope that like with Jaune, while their problems have "solved" themselves, that some signs still remain.
You could consider as Ruby not having solved all of her problems, but choosing instead to not give up as she was planning to. Whatever this is true, remains to be seen in Vol 10 if it ever comes out.
Because she dealt with depression. It doesn't matter that it was only explored in the most superficial way, doesn't matter that it's just a repeat of her previous 'character arcs', doesn't matter that it's lazy or shallow and basically just resets her to where she already was; they had a serious subject matter happen, so clap.Speaking of the last season, Am I the only one that just can’t see why people praise Ruby‘s dealing with depression so much?

That’s the thing they were building to since Vol 7, though, ending with her killing herself because Neo convinced her that death is the preferable alternative to all her failures and guilt (also she mentally and physically abused her). Honestly, I could see Ruby ending up like that. But that‘s not how they showed Ruby.
The solution wasn’t to pretend she never made a mistake/failed. The solution was and is acknowledging that giving up and running away isn’t the right answer, that any problem can be worked out, and that the most important thing is our own uniqueness (the thing that has defined Remnant’s culture since the Great War)Which is why I think the “Remember you were awesome all along” is a poor solution to her depression arch. Or any depression arch for that matter.

I could see that, sure, and it was a meme for a while. That was also a problem I had with Jaune, they had him alone for 20 years, show a side effect once, and use magic to fix everything at the end of the season, leaving ambiguous whether the change was merely cosmetic or mental as well.Taken at face value it does seem like they are implying her depression was magically cured by just her remembering she is already great.
And RT is no stranger to woke either, suddently straight characters turning gay/bi aside. Remember that trans character whose entire personality was “my parents misgendered me so now I am okay with killing the rich”? Credit where it’s due, in the very same episode it is implied that this character reconsidered that stance,IIRC, but never outright stated. But given, how many woke shows have ended with
