It's actually great criticism. The guy pretty much spelled out everything wrong with these crossovers. I'm just relieved someone actually had it in them to even do it.

Then again, RT is dead and the fandom is too busy coping hard to even pay attention. lel

Oh yeah, Nora - the same Nora that rode one of the bigger "eldritch horrors" like a horse during an Initiation test.

The astronomically small amount of fucks they gave while writing this is honestly much more entertaining to analyze that actually watching that piece of shit.

Imagine, if you will, they did that with the Dragon Ball universe. Hypothetically speaking, if RWBY did a legit crossover with that.

I legit believe the RWBY writers are all California nepo babies that were dumped into RT by their parents to learn an "honest living" :story:

Apathy could still be a threat to DBZ heroes and villains if they were caught off guard. Goku can't win if he can't fight. But that's the only exception I can think of.

I don't see why not. They turn anyone apathetic. Saiyans have been shown to be affected by things like magic that manipulate emotions. And if we take DBS as an example, as long as Goku wouldn't bring up his ki (which he couldn't in that state), he'd be as weak to attacks from Apathy as any normal human.

And we've also seen them just sort of power through said magic because their battle lust trumps everything else.

And the Apathy isn't even an instant effect, it's gradual and even the only example we have is a group of people who were already exhausted, feeling like shit and fresh off a revelation that's wrecking them emotionally. Only way it fucks with Goku requires him to sit still, already be in an emotionally vulnerable state and never notice it; and the Z-Fighters have pretty good awareness even when it comes to creatures with no Ki or magic. The Apathy would grate on Goku for five minutes before he powers up to start training, dude just has too much manic energy and willpower to be taken down by magic telling him nothing matters.

So, Goku has weak willpower? Are you sure you're not just shilling at this point? Again, this is Goku we're talking about. He'd just take one look at the Apathy things, say hello, and drive them crazy once he starts training and wondering why the fuck he doesn't break. Guy has been through too much to be taken down by a bunch of jobbers. That'll be like Thanos being susceptible to such a ridiculous ability. He'd just roll his eyes and feel too sorry for whoever poor schmuck made such sorry excuses.

Come on, now. If Goku strikes before they screech, he wins. If Goku spends his usual time yapping about or letting his enemies get stronger, or if he gets caught of guard, he loses. I mean, the dude lost to a low level grunt and had to have a God bail him out.

Uh huh. Well, that's because of a very simple thing both have in common, with only varying degrees of severity (hint: RWBY has it worse).

Inconsistent writing.

DBS Resurrection F had to put in a sneak attack because how else was Frieza gonna have an edge against Goku, who, at that point, was already several leagues above Namek (and above Golden Frieza)? Just to teach people a LESSSSUUUUUNNNN on patience, or something. That "low level grunt" was one of the worst examples of plot conveniences ever conceived. Cheap tension. By that logic, a kid with a slingshot could have left a scratch on him. Goku wasn't even that winded or exhausted, which is incredibly laughable. Everything else was fine up until that point, which is probably why many let it slide. RWBY has no such excuse.

Wonderful reasoning. Instead of conceding that there might be one occasion in which he'd lose, you have to cope. By the way, The Ressurection of F thing wasn't a one off. They repeated the same "Goku gets shot when distracted" style trope in Future Trunks saga by implying Black would die if they could shoot him while he wasn't paying attention. Later Goku was literally ganked by some nobody's with normal weak guns, because Goku was off guard. Like it or not, Goku being weak when off guard is consistent canon in Super. Technically in DBZ too, as Krillin did hurt him with that rock while Goku was sleeping.

It kinda sounds like you're the one coping since you started freaking out (next, you're going to claim that the team can take Goku on). The "Apathy Grimm" aren't even that much of a threat, as like Ambiguous Lurker already pointed out, Goku would have to be at his most vulnerable for the things to even so much as put a dent to his willpower, and even then, he can be pretty damn resilient. Same with Vegeta. There's also a reason why Super has kind of fallen out with the fans. Mostly because of certain issues (like Goku being even more retarded).

Like a mentioned, if you can just sneak attack someone, you can sneak attack them all. Plus, it would have to take an incredible amount of power (which a low level grunt shouldn't even have) to consistently wound Goku while he's in Blue. It was already inane in hindsight.

The rock thing? Oh, you mean during training? When he was in such a relaxed and serene state with friends and loved ones? I really don't think his willpower would crumble that easily.
