why did they not just go around the shield? There was clearly a lot of road to the left and right of it. Jesus God I also forgot how terrible Barbara's voice acting was. She can't say a line convincingly to save her life.

I know Grimm creatures are known to be dumb as rocks but goodness me even predators know how to go around that big gap of an obstacle to get to their prey.

Whoever wrote this scene should learn a thing or two about how creatures hunt to make them even remotely threatening.
