Wow...Its actually worse than I imagined. The entire conflict of the last season, WHAT THEY BETRAYED IRONWOOD FOR, is now apparently the correct thing to do and team Rwby are all for it?!?!?

Not even that, the conflict of the last season was that they wouldn't be able to launch amity before Salem over ran them, so they either had to escape with it or prioritize evacuating the city. This episode now says that Amity was basically ready for launch and most people have already been evacuated from Mantel off screen. They have, quite literally, made the conflict of last volume absolutely pointless.

Its somehow even worse than I remember....HOW!?!?

God can Yang just die at this point. She tells Robyn about Amity which has a huge impact on Ironwood's trust of Team RWBY and arguably is the single most damaging thing to the relationship between Ironwood and RWBY, and she has the gall to say Ironwood's downfall was Ruby's fault?

What an insufferable cunt. I bet the show won't even call her on her hypocrisy or ignore that Yang through telling Robyn directly undercut Ruby's plan.

Even though I hate what they've done to her original character, I still like Yang. She's like one of the most popular characters in the show. Just look at how much porn of her exists compared to the other characters.

Also they've completely fucked Ironwood now. Straight up executing some inoffensive political stooge, in front of his own soldiers accomplishes what, exactly? This completely smothers any ambiguity about Ironwood's motivations. Not that they weren't already ruined by M&K revealing that Ironwood's Semblance is being too retarded to change his mind, to the point where he'll straight up murder someone.

The show should be jettisoned into a black hole at this point, since no one at Rooster Teeth can write a story without it fucking up. Could you imagine what it would look like if competent people were behind the wheel?

We don't really have to considering soul eater, the first four season of GOT, and ATLA (All the shows they are badly aping) exist.

Here are my thoughts (if anyone gives a shit)

Hazel and Emerald look like shit

Ruby and the gang talk about how difficult it would be to launch Amity. If only there was someone who came up with the idea in the first place, was actively working towards the completion of that goal, was almost done and was fully cooperating with RWBY until they leaked state secrets to a person that tried to rob them (and the supplies for the super important Amity project). The absolute retards. Moreover, how are team RWBY going to tell the other kingdoms? I thought that Ironwood's plan was to redpill areas bit by bit and to use the full force of the Atlassian military to suppress any riots/civil unrest to minimise Grimm attacks and to fight off said Grimm attacks when they do occur? Are RWBY going to just tell everyone without doing this?

It seems like they setting up for Atlas to fall on Mantle, considering that they mentioned the staff and that they are grouping everyone from Mantle in the crater beneath Atlas.

Ruby is a massive sped:
Yang: "we need to focus on Mantle, that’s why we fucked over Ironwood in the first place"
Ruby: "we need to focus on the bigger picture, we need to tell everyone or else this is gonna happen again"
Ironwood: "we need to focus on the bigger pict-"
Ruby: "You are an evil cunt Ironwood and we won't help you until you agree with us"

IronCHAD btfos cuck councillor. In all seriousness, the councillor didn't deserve to get shot but come on. They barged into a hospital to whine about martial law WHILST THEIR CITY IS UNDER SIEGE BY MONSTERS. If a monster siege isn't the time for martial law, what is? I know what it’s not the time for; retarded politicians trying to have political arguments with their head general

Ironwood has been nothing but honest, trusting and kind to RWBY, he is the only one who had any plan at all, has literally sacrificed his body multiple times for Atlas. Ironwood is a true patriot and the only character I even like in this retarded show and fuck the writers for trying to make him "the bad guy" for making tough choices in a desperate situation, you know that thing actually good leaders have to do.

So...

Salem doesn't want to go after Penny, just Oscar so she can use the relic. I don't know how the fuck that makes sense.

Salem hasn't started the invasion yet, I think? Like, Ironwood mentions that hardlight sheilds are keeping the grimm out, but we see tiny amounts of grimm in the streets. Maybe he means Atlas has shielding? So, if she has started the invasion, it's looking even more tame than the trailers.

And most of Mantle has already been evacuated offscreen.

Yang and Ruby kinda argue about what to do. Yang wants to evacuate everyone left and Ruby wants to get Amity up and running. And yes, apparently Amity is fully ready to go up and work, it's just they need to sneak into Ironwood's office or the Atlas base to give it the command to rise. The entire conflict of the previous season apparently just didn't fucking matter and no one brought it up.

And I say kinda argue because just when it looks like Ruby and Yang might have some sorta conflict, Jaune interrupts them to point out "Dudes, we can just do both." and then it's settled. Though seems like Ren and Nora are still divided, though at this point what the actual issue is ain't entirely clear.

Oscar doesn't tell them Ozpin's back yet. Because pointlessly withholding information has done you so well lately.

Cinder somehow doesn't realize that she's basically yelling at Neo "Betray me!" by constantly insulting, belittling and taking credit for Neo's accomplishments. Fucking moron.

Ironwood calls Penny to repeat how stupid everyone is and Ruby tells him to fuck off until he agrees with her.

Ironwood straight up executes council members for asking him what's going on. No, I'm fucking serious, that's how the episode ends.
So TLDR, more plot induced stupidity for the sake of plot, and also means water is wet.

Oh look, my eyes are rolling up again.

Can't wait until they decide to write him in shooting one of the Ace-Ops soldiers or Winter and claim the same thing he did when shooting the councilman. Then again, I do kind of want to see him actually shoot one of the protagonists again. Him shooting Oscar that last time was pretty cathartic despite Miles and Kerry being retarded writers.

I...I have no words. Either Volume 9 ends with Remnant completely exploding into a fiery slag, or we're gonna get some convoluted happy ending that manages to make SAO a masterstroke of genius that has surpassed all expectations.

This is so incredible, that it manages to literally defy any amount of credibility of being good.

What's worse is that CJ Black on Twitter considered it a good enough first episode. The stupidity is so above and beyond, that it managed to subvert one of its most fervent critics into dubbing it "good enough". :stress: 🚬 :deagleleft:

Lads, I just got back from kimcartoon, and to my surprise, the new episode isn't on trending.

GASP!

I mean, you'd expect it to at least last for a week at best. Come on! This is the big premier.
Similarly, the piracy site I have got the new RWBY episode and it's on the bottom of the second trending page... behind several years old series which are likely trending for nostalgia or some YTer did a video.

I would say that I didn't even knew it was coming yesterday, but I also forgot about The Mandalorian for 2 episodes & only realised it when I was going to torrent RWBY.

It took me 2 hours of The Mandalorian & another 13 hours of my ongoing Netflix Marvel binge (Jessica Jones S2 is shit) to make me forget about the 19 mins of RWBY.
