So it seems despite promising otherwise, Rooster Teeth were actually lying when they promised to revise their crunch protocols after getting caught in 2019. A Twitter thread is going viral (Archive link) about new employee reviews from late 2019 to January 2021 that show the company's work practices didn't get much better after they were roasted for them in public. Notably, the reviews mention a particular fact that RT has an insider blacklist that they use to punish anyone who publically criticises the company, alongside confirmation that promotions are offered through in-office popularity contests.

The implications don't go anywhere. You would think there would be a bunch of different world building that would go along with this. What is the world like when you arn't able to feel negative emotions without the risk of someone dying even if you never act on them? Like all the media would have to be happy since if a popular character got killed off you risk having a Grimm invasion. But they just...never do anything like that. So those with depression...just get treated like those who have depression in the real world because Roosterteeth can't into world building. The same way people have riots despite knowing with 100% certainty that these riots will attract monsters that will kill them. The same way people get sad, angry, bully others, get scared, and display all other negative emotions just as easily as in the real world because Rosterteeth doesn't think about the implications of their monster's actions.

This feels like a general problem with RWBY: lack of appropriate consequence to elements we're later told to care about.

Hey y'all,

Not to bump a possibly dead thread, but I created this account last night just to say that I used to be sunnylilyang and this shit is really funny. In May 2020, I was canceled by the cesspool of cancer that is the RWBY fandom and it made me have to seriously look inside myself and reevaluate who I am as a person. I'm actually really thankful that this happened; if it didn't, it's possible I would still be this person today. I've grown a lot and it embarrasses me that I used to be this damn annoying.

I remember seeing this post last year and it offended me a lot-- now, it makes me laugh really hard. I fucking love it.

Thank you for making me smile! :) Maybe I'll stay here on Kiwi Farms for the hell of it, but I don't know. I honestly just came here to say thanks. lol

Oh, by the way... I'm not a big fan of RWBY anymore.

It's gone downhill so fucking much it's sad. Since last May, I've come to realize that I was worshipping RWBY just because Blake and Yang were (most likely) having ultra gay sex and not because it's an actual good show.

I still watch the episodes, but it's more just so I can see where the hell RT goes with it and how the story will end. I don't watch it out of much enjoyment. I wish that RWBY would be good again (it hasn't been since V3) but I don't think RT cares anymore.

Yang is no longer my favorite by the way-- my favorite is maybe Pyrrha. I miss her. Good thing she died in V3 before they inevitably destroyed her character.

It's really disappointing how many crazy ass SJW's worship this show because of the queerbaiting. As y'all know from that thread, I am a lesbian... so it's especially embarrassing how much I thought "Bumbleby" was good. RT doesn't give a shit about us; they just care about making merch that will unsurprisingly sell well. Bumbleby was a mistake that they can't back out of now that the vast majority of the RWBY fanbase on Twitter has made it the center of the RWBY "religion".

I fucking love watching YouTuber's like adel aka absolutely tear apart the fandom and show. It's the best. I love it.

Welcome to the farms, sometimes it's hard to at least realize that you're not into a show because it's good. I'm not going to say you have saved yourself from brainwashing like some sort of conspiracy theorist, but you did save yourself from being a giant asshole.

Damn, this is a better character development than anyone in RWBY ever got.

But seriously, if you like unadulterated criticism of RWBY then this may be the best place tbh. Tho there are other good stuff on the farms to talk about, if you like to check around a bit. Hope you enjoy the time here.

By the way, if you are who say you are (can never trust the internet), I'd say you should be bit anonymous than your other social medias.
