They allegedly married on that date, but it was never talked about or addressed. They were dating for a single year - most people (including his close friends and family) were unaware until she threw up the GoFundMe when he fell ill. She says they were married, but all that exists is a single facebook post about it. She's still in the country, but America does not give a single fuck about anyone overstaying a visa.

It seems like people think she's lying and/or they got secret married for her visa application. Either way, it appears that RWBY's legal team felt she doesn't have any legal standing over RWBY's ownership (as she isn't involved in any way).
I'm not sure if she had a marriage certificate or anything to confirm they were legally married or not. I wasn't aware of her being legally or illegally in the US. She might've been able to file for citizenship due to being married to him during 2014. It's most likely the latter of eloping for the visa.

She wouldn't have any legal standing on RWBY's ownership but could've had rights to some compensation due to her marriage to Monty Ohm as the creator and however it was worked out with Monty and Roosterteeth.

That's what I'm thinking, and again, IIRC, Monty and Sheena had plans to hold a bigger wedding for their family and friends had Monty not died.

Not a lawyer, but my limited analysis believes RT had ALWAYS owned RWBY as an IP because Monty was a RT employee when he made the show. Any talk about Monty leaving RT and taking RWBY with him would probably have to go through the courts or hav to see some deal made.

As for Sheena, all we got on her side is Shane and his letter which says he and Sheena were screwed out of running RWBY (or at least the chance of it) and Shane getting canned after Monty died. And all there is to back Shane's statement of "they're not following Monty's vision" is the current state of the show. (Also, there's the aspect of if Miles and Kerry were the guys Monty even wanted to work with from the start, but we don't really have any statements from Monty either way before he died, and even then that's an idea that'll only be pursued for evidence if you're looking to throw RT under the bus like Shane did).

Absolutely. Regarding compensation and I have no way of knowing details of Montys deal with Roosterteeth. The IP rights are definitely owned by Roosterteeth but was curious if there are any rights to royalties or if that was signed away by Monty in the contact he had with them.

Unless something leaks, no fucking clue. The only thing I've heard about promises and deals was that Monty was only allowed to start working on developing RWBY if he finished his work on Season 10 of Red vs Blue. He did, and the Red trailer was put at the end of the RvB S10 credits with the words "A New Series By Monty Oum" and "RWBY Coming 2013" (and the Red trailer itself was basically the pitch/proof of concept Monty made before getting the green light).

Unless someone finds Monty's old work rig to get his notes and leaks them online, or Miles/Kerry get burned by RT and decide to come forward themselves to try and burn the show down out of spite, we'll likely never know for sure whether RWBY strayed away from Monty's intended vision of the show or if they're genuinely sticking it out.

Either way, the show went to shit after Volume 4.

At this point, I don't know if he planned that far ahead to begin with.

I'd say the bigger problem is them trying to inject humor that seems more in place in a show like K-On!, judging by that gif.
Exactly. A slow heartwarming scene being ruined by joke antics like that just kills the tone. It's like they have to include a humor part somewhere because 'omg so random funny har har har'

You're not wrong. It's almost like since V4 they've tried to make things have it be where things don't get "too depressing".

There are way better reasons to hate Robyn than all these strawmans.
When you have a problem with a woman, it's automatically misogynistic. It can't possibly be because she's a massive prick who butts in at the worst of times like some warped cry for attention.
