  1. RWBY began as a little passion project
  2. Tumblr eventually found RWBY
  3. Tumblr started to be Tumblr and "analyzed" scenes for "muh representation" because why the hell not
  4. Tumblr found no LGBT people and began to fucking riot
  5. CRWBY tried to make separate characters that were "diverse"
  6. Tumblr had a massive fit because they weren't main characters or important to the story
  7. CRWBY desperately shoved any and every sexuality and gender onto any and every character possible... bisexual Blake, lesbian Coco, transgender May, gay Scarlet, etc.
  8. The Tumblr bitches migrated to Twitter as soon as they couldn't post their steamy hot Bumbleby porn on there; they were now closer to CRWBY than they were when they were all acting like morons on Tumblr

Very optimistic for you to think they'll even bring back Neptune since he's been gone since volume 3 I'm pretty sure.

The major issue with his character, as with most of RWBY, is that conceptually Jaune could work. A tortured hero suffering from a massive inferiority complex due to feeling powerless and cheating his way into hero school. Pyrrha SHOULD serve as his ultimate role model, the perfect hero in Jaune's mind. When she confides her pain of "being the best" in him and ultimately sacrifices herself he SHOULD learn the wrong lesson due to a mixture of his devotion to his idea of Pyrrha and his inferiority complex, that a hero NEEDS to sacrifice and suffer to be great. Him killing Penny SHOULD have been a natural continuation of his own self-torture and suffering up to that point, in his mind he is living up to Pyrrha's example. Of course, M&K didn't do anything deep or interesting like this or present an acceptable alternative for his development as a character. Mix that with the already forced and arbitrary nature of Penny's "final" death and everything falls the fuck apart.

The problem has always been piss poor execution and not understanding the scale of RWBY. People need to remember that they only had 10-13 minutes for each episode when they were starting out. Its not a lot of time and with such a limited run of episodes you don't have time for many characters. Jaune's (shitty) characterization comes at the direct cost of the rest of the main cast. This problem only got worse when more time and resources were allocated towards RWBY because all of the other characters had their foundation stolen from them to build up Jaune. This is why everyone claims (and I believe rightfully so) that Jaune is Miles self-insert and writers pet.

I'm also starting to suspect that they read Coeur's fanfictions and doing what little they can to either contradict his frame of narrative to outright making wildly convoluted plot points.

I know it's farfetched, but you just know that some of their retarded fans brought it to their attention and saw how much better a UK journalist could actually write than them.

Would they laud him? Publicly, yes. Privately, copium might as will be injected into their brains.

IIRC, either Eddy, Miles, or both of them have said on Twitter in the past that he and CRWBY don't read or accept fanfiction because legally they can't. And that's just standard fare for people who write for IPs in the US.

I'm having trouble finding out more personal information about him as well as trouble writing about his biggest controversies. I want it to be a really good thread but the little fucker keeps a lot of info private or hidden well (ex. I've seen many threads find out where certain "Lolcows" live or where they went to school... shit like that).

It must've been around V4 then. Thats where i jumped ship after they went to the town and I found out I wasn't going to get any rRman Torchwick and Neo backstory.
If you need context there was this photo that looked like the both of them and I was wondering if we were going to get something since one of the writers on twitter, I think it was Miles? Kept posting this chibi Torchwick with the ominous SOON over it.
After RWBY left town My friend and I were like "fuck it" and never looked back.

I do remember them shilling their CHECK THE ROOSTER TEETH~ website thing on their campcamp shit.
Speaking of RWBY however, did anyone ever buy those figures? I wanted to buy the Roman and Mercury one as a kid but I never heard if anyone bought those action statue things tbh.
