Well, several people did call out this song (including some Ukranians) and how you can easily remove it and nothing will change in it. Which is funny, like aside from this one song, so far nobody could find any other Anti-Russian things in this game, so I dunno what to say but props to GSC?

in call of the zone they're all dynamic squads. even the traders, they're just given a task to stand in place, and all of the stuff that spawns stalkers in front of you are the same stalkers that spawn everywhere else . it's really a quite well written mod but i almost have to think that doctorx died because he killed himself after fixing so much stuff and having an insurmountable mountain of shit that's still broken

Wouldn't be the first STALKER related death. Estaban, the SS13 stalker dev suicided (or was killed, depending on who you ask) in Russia.

There is also a soviet poster, but from the wear and tear of time it translates to "Union of Disintegrating Slave Republics" or something like that.
Oh, and an NPC you have to kill, if you add И to the end of his name it translates to "Russian Soldier", although it is a bit of a stretch.
EDIT: Still, I expected more full on NAFO propaganda, Azov stuff, etc. I've learned Russian for 4 years but I'm not really fluent, maybe we have a native speaker here that can correct me if something I said is bullshit, I might not fully understand the context.

So, with the 2nd, yes those are Russian soldiers but from what I understand the Russian subs in this game are a mess as some of 'em used stuff from the original Russian dub, which got removed. Thus, in certain scenes (for example in the English dub), some NPC's will say stuff, but the Russian translation adds material they haven't said.
The Soviet poster stuff reads "The of Union of Republics collapsed and unfree." if we translate it roughly. Which, honestly compared to some shit one dev (who ironically joined the Azov army and got ventilated) shoved in Clear Sky or Call of Pripyat is rather tamed.

People will say the older games were buggy but GSC had their shit figured out by Call of Pripyat, iirc release was buggy but within a month or so of patches it was a perfectly acceptable game, hopefully it only takes Stalker 2 only also takes a month to get its shit together (lol)

I'm wondering when the first game developer will get the idea to hire Indians to pretend to be NPCs instead of investing in AI.

Actually that might work. Make the game online-only, claim it's necessary because the AI simulation is too complex to run on local machines and relies on cloud computing, but make it a secret MMO where trained Indians interact with each other and accomodate the player..

I am starting to hate this game, i am so angry.....

Decided to give SoC a fair shake after a few years and I'm having a blast. The car park firefight and working my way back to the cordon in the dead of night was undeniably kino and I got a suppressed 74u for my efforts.

The game is extremely fresh in my head even though i played it back in 2021, its a fucking amazing experience. To add more to the experience i listened to horror documentaries about disturbing stuff which made the environment even more sinsiter. The OST is amazing, and the relaxation you got when you found a safe camp with a few stalkers sitting down and playing "He was a good stalker" or some kino guitar tune.

Best would be when you try to find Ghost, and experince the most unique mutant who you have to kill with a grenade and it was amazing and fending off the military, plus the mercs fighting Duty who are fighting Freedom and you are in the mix of it just shooting your way through. The scientist escort was also great, and zombies ohhh boy that was spooky and fuckin great.....

Damn i love call of Shadow of Chernobyl....

This game is so broke lol. I got an m860 ith a magazine that was named. Later after i ahd thought i had equipped it i notyiced i was handloading shells. So i wenyt back t o the trader to see if i had sold it (ive been drinkin heh) and there was an m860 in the trdaer that had a goofy name so i bought it. After quiping it and reloading it was also handloading. it was no longer named when i hovered over it and it was now unnamed. the game retroactively downgraded my guns. Im 60% sure i never sold the mag fed shotgun and regardless niether is now.

long post to say this game was way unfinished and needs A LOT OF POLISH.
