Saints Row thread

They made remasters of the other 2, game still has a cult following.
Yeah, but those were fairly old when remastered. Betrayal was re-released for Windows in 2014 and was 2D, just curious why. Cult following included it just seems odd for Wayforward to remaster this... the original is still for sale.

Then again the Saints are a bunch of zoomer faggots now, the likes which Gat would wedgie to death for fun and to see if he could. Maybe nothing is supposed to make sense.

GTA V E&E is in ~2 months and we still don't know shit about that game; it's possible it will be just repackaged PS4 version

It's almost guaranteed to be. It's just going to be GTA V with "4K" and unlocked FPS which will result in the same goofy looking physics effects that have plagued every RAGE PC release.

The most they'll "add" is that they *might* increase the top speed in the game. And even that will be dubious since they never did it on PC.

They might release animals on GTAO since that's been asked about since forever and now the PS5 can handle it they can up the PC version too. That's about all I can think of that they'd add, though.

All of the guns, especially SMGs, were terrible in 3 because they relied on the upgrade system and bullet sponges.
Bullet sponges were a mutual problem, but again, at least the guns felt alright in 3. And yea, the upgrade system worked fine with the character, but not with the weapons.

Gentlemen of the Row, get it. Also look into some Reshaders, there's a good one that undoes much of the dreariness of the colors and makes it more vibrant.

So this is what the gentrification of a video game series looks like.
And it's ironic as hell that there was once a Saints Row game that was about fighting against gentrification.

And she's still wearing too much. Where's my crop top for my top corpse? *sigh*

Looks like it. I wonder why Wayforward dug it up for a remaster...
At least she's still cute and has big boobs, kind of amazing to still see that.

Having given it some more thought, I think I know why "turning to crime to pay off their student loans" bothers me.

Aside from it being a lame attempt to cater to millennials (speaking of which, the oldest have turned 40, how's that more "fresh" than gangster culture?), why would someone becoming a criminal give a shit about obeying the law? If they're willing to sell drugs, become a pimp (although I doubt Volition would allow that, given their apparent shame for the older entries), or murder people to gain wealth, I doubt they'd care about paying their college off.

I know Saints Row veers to the sillier side of things, but this is such a bizarre premise to "validate" these characters.
Shit I'd turn to crime too if I drove myself into debt for a gender studies degree.

Where does this take place exactly? Stillwater was St Louis or at least heavily inspired by it. This looks to be Arizona maybe?

Colleges are where people learn most of their woke propaganda, so it's only natural that the characters never come up with the concept of destroying the colleges themselves, or going after whomever's responsible for putting every student 5-6 figures in debt just for a fighting chance in the real world.

Man, that wokeness is more obvious than ever. I'm glad the entire internet is coming together to tear this piece of shit apart.

the game is getting trashed to hell of course the press is going to defend it

also i just got it working with gentleman of the row, high quality assest and a nice reshader.

game looks great for being almost 13 years old

Can't they just ... find jobs in their respective majors? Or will there be an explanation for that plot hole?
Barring that, find other jobs to build their income and make new connections to get a stab at their dream jobs.

Maybe boring, but it's a far more rational and practical idea than risking their lives picking fights with veteran gangs.

The premise is just moronic, just have them be adrenaline junkies wanting to get rich or something.

That was actually the idea for the version my friends and I had a few pages back; they were bored college kids wanting a thrill, especially since the Boss you play was the wildest of them all. The three missions against each gang was more to make you kind of care for them as much as you could too, since it gave you a couple hours with them or so if you include activities to unlock missions.

Then shit gets real, Boss is the only survivor besides your randomly selected traitor, and it's not a game anymore.

More pissing on the original fanbase.

>DLC Car
>No Bootlegger

That alone makes me not want to touch this game with a barge pole.
