In a way you can blame Rogan for Kevin Smith's MotU. When they did "Zach and Miri" apparently Smith was blown away that Rogan managed to be so "creative" while being high all the time. Which is why Kevin Smith is now a hopeless pothead. When he did "Cop Out" and whined about Bruce Willis being mean, apparently it was because Smith was getting high and not really directing his actors at all.

So yea, the reason "Clerks II" was the last good thing he ever did (or ever will do) is because of Seth the rotten elf corrupting his work ethic.
Where does this theory come from and why does it ignore the fact that Smith was already inundated in stoner culture before the fat elf Rogen was even on the scene?
Smith was big for stoners and I suspect a stoner himself for the entirety of the 90s, its the only way imo to explain Clerks or his Jay&Silent Bob work.

I believe Jason Mewes was the person who got Kevin Smith into pot originally. Iirc, Smith started abusing pot relatively late into his career, so Rogan could have been a part of that too.

Do you really believe that the US government doesn't want to make its citizens even dumber than they already currently are? I wouldn't be surprised at all if Biden shits out some executive order legalizing pot on a federal level, if only to raise his rapidly dropping popularity level before the next election.
He can't actually do that, but in theory he could, and frankly, Trump almost did exactly that, so singling out Biden is kind of nonsensical on this subject. Prosecuting pot just hasn't been a federal priority in years. Trump could have brought it back but he didn't even in states like California that he obviously hated.

The only dispensaries in states where it's "legal" (because it obviously remains federally illegal) that get prosecuted are either raped by state red tape or because they're obviously trafficking across state lines (because stoners get bold when they think what they are doing is "legal").

It comes from his own mouth over the years. Yes he dabbled in pot before. He's said many times he became an all day - everyday smoker after Z&M.

Edit - Smith apparently didn't even smoke pot before Z&M despite the weed culture accoutrements in his movies.

Okay, hear me out. Seth Rogan plays a local politician in Germany that joins the National Socialist Party as he thinks it would be a ride to easy money and legal weed. Only too late does he realize the plans they have for the Jewish people. Rogan and his friends, including the recently turned pothead Himmler must save Hanukkah and the Jews from the worst camping experience in all of history.

It's called Lit.
We need like... a joint emoji dude.

I was surprised a few days ago when I saw this was a series, and not a film like I thought. The premise would be stretched thin being used for a SNL digital short, much less a whole mini-series.

That actually sounds amazing. Pothead Himmler rambling about Agartha and the hollow earth is more entertaining than anything in Santa Inc.

That explains the downgrade in his movies after that. Kevin Smith, I always found overrated but he was least competent until after that movie. If you ever want someone to stop weed just show them Yoga Hosers.

I don't even smoke, but I mean.... the states are already doing a pretty good job of "legalizing" it. I'm not going to lie, I never would have thought that my state would legalize pot.. And yet it did. It might still be criminalized federally, but I do believe you know law better than I ever will. You must know that for all the stupid shit that they do, the states usually matter more than the federal fuckers do in most legal cases according to the Constitution..

I'm actually surprised that apparently Santa is the actual best character in the show according to this guy and fired elf bitch for a real reason beyond sexism

Same, though apparently the show tries to make it like it was just an excuse or something. Who knows with crap shows?
