Either that or Sean was lurking around the mall because his hosts are sick of him and probably at the point of giving him $5 to get out of their hair for a few hours. He likely heard someone discussing prices and recent inflation and proceeded to waddle over and lecture them on price signals in a smug and incorrect way, while they awkwardly shuffled their feet. After this he proudly announced himself as an economist and the lady said 'thats really cool!' because people are raised to be nice to obvious speds when they're trying to be friendly. Sean then replied 'if you come here often I suppose I'll see you around!' to which she was like 'yerh probably'.
Then she called up her friend to relay this story in a way that probably started with 'I know it's not nice to laugh at the mentally handicapped, but...'
