I’m not sure why he ever married Kristina Basham. He had it right by just dating her. I’m sure he thought she loved him for him and not the $75 million that is supposedly his net worth. At that point, just date/bang all the Instagram models you want. I’m sure his ego demands that his delusions be catered to and that women love him for him. Even with a pre-nuptial agreement, it’ll cost millions to part ways with her. That could have paid for all the thot models for the rest of his life.
He probably legitimately thought that her accepting his proposal was the result of his humor, charm, and formidable powers of persuasion. He might have even considered his combination of persuasion techniques, officially licensed hypnotism, and daily affirmations to be so strong that he could overcome any negatives in the equation like his looks, his mindset, his narcissism, her narcissism, and the statistics on what happens to millionaires in divorce court.

FFS, the guy wrote an entire book about how he's managed to fail upwards his entire life. He thinks his mistakes aren't really mistakes since he's come out on top every time. He's managed to convince himself that everything he does is right even when it's wrong and that the stripper really likes him.

He didn’t even bother putting in an effort for the wedding. I got some Anthony Burch vibes from those wedding photos. If he didn’t treat the wedding seriously, not a surprise it only lasted over a year as I’m guessing he half assed many other things in his marriage too.

I’m sure there will be another Instathot ready to take her place if it hasn’t happened already.

He got married in July in 2020, so they'd have had all sorts of Rona restrictions in place.

I think he was just too egotistical and controlling for her so even having a rich old husband for a few years until he kicks the bucket was too much for him. I mean just imagine being stuck living in the same house as this guy that thinks he's a masterful persuader with special insights to the human condition while also being infallible.

To be fair, Scott Adams is in his mid 60s and has been married before. I don't know if you've ever been to a wedding involving older people who've been married before, but they just sort of do a bare minimum ceremony and are done with it. Last year I went to a distant cousin's wedding and both he and the bride were in their 60s and both had been married twice before. They were dressed like they were going to a moderately priced restaurant afterwards. Judging by the photos I'd say he at least put some money into the flowers and her dress seems okay (even if an instathot probably has no business being married in white).

He got married in July in 2020, so they'd have had all sorts of Rona restrictions in place.

The rona thing is probably a factor, especially since he lives in California where the restrictions were pretty tight. That said, he has enough money to get around pretty much anything and I imagine they could have been married just about anywhere they wanted to go, restrictions or not.

My impression is that she probably wanted a big deal destination wedding that she could plaster all over her IG and Scott wasn't having it. He was probably glad the rona stuff was happening so he didn't have to shell out a ton of money on a big ceremony.

His first wedding ceremony took place on a yacht in the San Francisco Bay. The second one looks like it was in somebody's back yard. He was probably over it.

I’m sure it’s not the $75m payday she was hoping for once he croaks but sounds like he gave her a new house and enough cash to live the Instathot life for a while, which explains why she feels content. Plus the timeline on the baby is interesting. Assuming the marriage was on the rocks for a while, seems like she was cucking him those final few months while Dilbert Man was furiously pounding out pointless tweets.

Jokes aside, this is just the sad reality of Twitterbrained retards. Imaginary likes and retweets are more important than maintaining relationships, so whenever a Twitter user mentions their significant other you know immediately their ass is being cucked (knowingly or not)

They might've already been separated before she divorced him. Unhappily married couples don't have to share a house when they're not in a sitcom.

Haven't seen it mentioned, but during the 2016 Presidential debates, Adams would livestream his reaction with his bimbo then-gf. At the time I knew little about him beyond Dilbert and that he was casting himself as some sort of wise, evenhanded, quasi-manosphere soothesayer. During one of these streams, the bimbo was quietly crying on camera the entire fucking time.

Eyes welling, gazing off in the distance, trying not to sob, and looking absolutely miserable as DilbertMan obliviously offered inane commentary and didn't glance over once. For two hours.

This video has since been scrubbed from YouTube and is only mentioned in a few tweets and blogposts which also caught it. If anyone ever finds it, it is a real doozy, and a great example of the myriad interpersonal skills of Adams the guru.

Lol guess all those Dilberitos make you fire blanks there Scotty.

He's like a lot of cows that see big success and have it go to their heads and don't see that luck played a big part in it. They fall victim to this "new thought" bullshit and don't understand that they think it works because of selection bias, not because they are thought wizards who can bend reality to their whims.

When people hit big success early, many of them believe that it wasn't what they did that was good (or at least what the market wanted at the time), but that it was successful because *they* did it. At that point they start to think they can do no wrong, and when things start to go wrong they stay in a state of complete denial. When I wrote the Lowtax OP, I was struck by this. Rich thought that everything he did would be successful just because he was doing it, and therefore he didn't have to put in any effort or work well with others because he was an infallible super-genius. Like Scott, Lowtax had 2 expensive divorces behind him, no real income besides coasting on his previous success, and he was such an arrogant dick (and started chasing poon half his age) that he pissed away what should have been a sure thing. His Patreon went from $14,000 a month to less than $200 in 6 months purely because of his own actions.

Scott's second divorce cost him a pretty penny. I wonder if he'll go full Lowtax and somehow fritter away everything by the end, and ventilate himself in a dismal rented basement. The numbers are bigger, but the trajectory is the same. (They're not even that much bigger, Something Awful was valued at $13m in the mid-2000s compared to Scott's pre-divorce $75m-ish).

Because Dilbertman, like a lot of these nerdy, intellectual types, never really grew out of high school. They all want big mansions and trophy wives on their arms, just to show the people that picked on them when they were kids that they really are so much better than them and they'll regret not seeing their true value back then. Of course, because they're nerds and they don't really have that much experience with women they don't see until it's too late what's obvious to everyone else - the trophy wife doesn't really love them, they just want their money

I’ll try to look this up. Do you know what the title is or when it was uploaded?

I haven’t asked for a review yet simply cause
A. There’s a few things I want to add before I send it out
And B. I figured it’s best to let it develop for a while and see if there’s still interest
Planning on getting through the rest of my edits either today or tomorrow, if anyone has suggestions on what to add, feel free to mention them, and I’ll add them to the list
Proofread your OP. You have a few unconjugated verbs and some incorrect homophones.

Originally Scott did believe that his success was undeserved and was entirely due to luck. He'd joke about his lack of drawing skills and how all his comic ideas were just stolen from the emails that people would send him.

Adams premise of his first book is that useless employees become managers and get promoted because they don't have any valuable skills. Which was inspired by his own history of managing engineers who were way more qualified. He was the Pointy Haired Boss, not Dilbert.

At some point in the mid-late 90s his ego must have overcome his self-awareness. Or he just stopped pretending to be humble in public and started trying to disprove gravity.
