Scott Adams has made his trade since 2016 in predicting all outcomes at the same time. I don't understand why anyone takes him seriously anymore.
I don’t think anyone takes Dilbertman seriously in current year plus nine. Predicting all outcomes is like predicting the sun is going to rise in the east. I will never forget him flip flopping multiple times a day for weeks in 2016.

Think Scott's joking, or has he gone full YMS?

One of the things that occurred to me is that his radical belief all drug addicts are doomed and deserve to die isn't just because of his ex-stepson, it's his unbelief in free will.

Scott repeatedly says there's no such thing as free will, your strongest urge wins no matter what and your meat computer monkey brain just pretends you have some thoughts to justify it. He has repeatedly stated there's no such thing as will power.

So, even though he did everything he could for his ex-stepson, he didn't get better because he didn't want to help himself, and Scott even says he'd tell them "As soon as I get out of rehab I'm going right back to using again" and "I'd rather DIE than not be able to have a drink with my friends" and he did.

Because Scott doesn't believe in freewill, he can't understand how his ex-stepson's decisions are what made him beyond help, and because he believes there's no such thing as will power, he can't comprehend some people ARE capable of getting clean.

So he tweets that all drug addicts are hopeless and doomed to either kill themselves or shoot up a school and kill themselves, and every reply about someone who did manage to quit drugs is met with "GOOD FOR YOU THAT YOU THINK YOU CAN TEACH SWUIRRELS BASKETBALL!"

If we can teach a squirrel to waterski I don't think basketball is too far out of the question.

Squirrels are smart enough to store nuts while NBA players are constantly going bankrupt a year after retiring, so I have to think they're at least on a comparable intellectual level.

I'll be back, going to my local park to round up five squirrels. I'll report back my findings.

the guy that advises people to not live among blacks is telling people to cool it with the racism. This is the boomer mentality: young people still working in the private sector see the obvious nepotism Indians have. But boomers will continuebto hire them because they're cheaper
Does anyone know what this second time was? Or the First?

One of them is apparently Clott Adams, which is a false memory because he was right about everything from start to finish

Scott's almost there. Someone just needs to introduce him to the phrases "stalker child" and "wait for the knock" and "enjoy prison."

At least, that's the vibe I'm getting here.
Yeah him claiming he was right is funny when he clearly wasn't. I stopped listening to his podcast when his solution was to have a draft for vaccination. He also worships Elon calling him a smart when it comes to the relm of physics and engineering when all Elon is is someone with some business sense and money. But my favorite aspect was when the No Agenda podcast shifted on him and he took it personal.

Does anyone know anything about this Owen Gregorian character whose stated purpose is to post things for Scott?
owen.png

He's Scott's source for garbage popsci articles like "Immortality and Perpetual motion invented?" which Scott eats up.

A running gag of theirs is that Owen will post something like "Study shows men who have sex are happier" and he'll reply "Could've just asked Scott!"

I posted before (but it got lost when the site was down) that Scott's latest fascination is the idea "robot babies" will replace humans.

At the time I speculated this is part of the same Simulation Religion that grants him an afterlife via a simulation of him after he's dead, that Scott, an old man with no wife or children, and even his ex-stepson dead, knows he leaves no legacy behind him, so now he has faith his Simulation Gods will give him eternal life through computer progeny as well. Scott would've called that mindreading, but then he himself laid it all out in the open:

Today (20250220) in regards to a claim he makes about the firing of FAA air traffic controllers, Scott says "I don't know if that's accurate, but it's obviously true." Absurd as it is, this persuasive rhetoric will be repeated several thousand times by viewers of his livestream.

A problem I've noticed with the Dilbert comics, I suspect part of what makes them so unfunny, is that he delivers the punchline by the second panel and then ruins the joke with the third

Examples

Set up, punchline
Dilbertcake2.jpg

That's a little funny, but before you have time to laugh, there's a third panel. Full comic:

I find many Dilberts would be much funnier if only he ended on the punchline

Eh, worth a chuckle, but with three panels:
Dilbertsmat1.png
Ruins the joke by tripping it up with a less funny after thought

With unfunny third panel:

Scott could've done a third less work and been funnier for it.

It wouldn't be so bad if I didn't know he thinks "I'm such a masterpersuader wizard, I make my comic double funny by putting in TWO JOKES instead of just one!"

Had Dilbert been eating cake in the third panel I think the comic would’ve been salvageable. Why is Dilbert getting coffee instead? Dilbertman left an easy and obvious joke on the table there.
Because he has highly limited drawing skills.

I got blackpilled on Adams in the 90s when some networking vendor had him do a little cartoon for a new box, I think it was a 56k CSU. He chose to depict it rather than looking anything like the box in question, as a generic robot under Dogbert's control. Which is funny I guess but even at my rather young age reading this I went 'man, I'd be pissed if someone drew something that lazy for me for cash.'

One of the saddest things to me about Scott Adams is WhenHub. He said he made WhenHub to be useful for multiple purposes as technology and needs changed, and was so convinced this would be the next big thing. In a way, he was right.

Monetized video was indeed the future, whether it be Twitch, Peloton, Cameo, Onlyfans, and Scott was just savvy enough to see it coming. But none of the above is WhenHub.

Like he said, he intended it to have many diverse uses, so when covid happened, he was shilling it for telehealth:

That didn't happen. Later in 2020

I feel like this is an admission of defeat. Zoom became a verb, WhenHub never became a proper noun.

Since Scott has seemingly given up on WhenHub. Kristina Basham was listed as co-founder so maybe the divorce also dissolved the business
