SCP Foundation - Creepypasta with roid rage - now ITT: SCP fans

  • 🐕 I am attempting to get the site runnning as fast as possible. If you are experiencing slow page load times, please report it.
So, this got asked a while back, but I'd thought I'd ask now again; has the SCP community really done anything with the Chaos Insurgency? Or are they still just a bunch of faceless grunts to be used for random villainy?

I'm honestly surprised that the girl who made this video isn't some flavor of genderspecial... at least none that I know of from the briefest of glances.
I watched the video expecting it to be at least halfway decent, but it wasn't.

She spent most of the time defending the trans satellite SCP and basically said that everyone who dislikes it just dislikes it because it has a trans person.

No, people dislike it because it's cringe. (Yes, she acknowledges that, but she says that the cringe is what makes it work.) It doesn't make any sense. Why would a satellite identify as a trans woman and find solace through Homestuck of all things? It reads very much like someone just compiled every cringey tumblr post and made an SCP out of it. We don't go on SCP to read shit like that. If we wanted to read that shit, we'd go on tumblr.

She also said that people only dislike it because a "nazi" mentioned it and got a bunch of people to brigade it. Sure, I hadn't actually heard of it before Metokur talked about it, but I went and actually read through the whole thing. It's god-awful.

The funny thing is that the SCP itself was written by a creep too.

I wonder how much restraint Raddagher exercised in avoiding the urge to start screeching about how that "EVIL FUCKING CHUD IS DYING OF CANCER AND THAT'S ACTUALLY A GOOD THING!!!".

With how vitriolic these people are towards Metokur, you would think he murdered their entire family.

So she just has this avatar for fun?
They're eating themselves, clockwork seems to be my catchphrase as of late.

Ah, nevermind. Not sure what I expected.

Kate Bush, worked for WhatPumpkin (company affiliated with Homestuck) for a time before leaving(?). She was said to have written Vriska's route in the visual novel spinoff Pesterquest and made her implied to be trans.
Sorry, her name's actually Kate Mitchell. Honest mistake on my part, been a long time since I've actively interacted with Homestuck.

That's SCP-231. And it's still the same as it ever was: https://scp-wiki.wikidot.com/scp-231
I don't remember that gay trigger warning, so no it's not the same as it ever was.
I also don't buy that it was never censored, not even an attempt. Not under current leadership especially.
That said, I don't remember the drama surrounding this page, I only remember the 4chan threads where there was talk of that article either being planned to be re-written or under active editing as of that time. Maybe that was reversed at some point with a gay trigger warning added or I am simply remembering things wrong.
It's kind of funny that other than the trigger warning, the one old school SCP they're totally fine with involves child rape. Hmm.
I would be fine with the trigger warning if they also added one for that retarded tranny satellite and the other really shitty ones, so it would save me the time and sanity of having to read it.

And lest we forget, his actual name is Kyle Mitchell, which we know because he tried to run for water commissioner or something similar up in Washington years ago and lost to a literal dead man. Flew very close to getting a thread at one point after the fuckery with Homestuck (among LOTS of other things) but people mostly stopped caring after being run off Twitter and moving to Mastodon.

I am so confused. Is this person a troon or not?

Also, here are some more recent thoughts about SCPs I have recently discovered:

SCP-4231 - This is one of the most pretentious, annoying SCPs I have read. It is a giant TL;DR tale that makes little sense and relies entirely on meta references. It's obnoxious. This should have been a tale, not a fucking SCP. However, it's still better than the Homestuck trans satellite. Yes, rape and abuse are bad. Yes, women can abuse and rape men. Good job, thank you for educating us on that. (Then again I do have to praise the writer for that because I feel like too many leftists ignore the fact that women can be abusive cunts to men.)

Though this reminds me of another pretentious-ass tale I read on reddit's nosleep where it was just a longwinded way to say, "UMM JUST BECAUSE A WOMAN DOESN'T SAY NO DOESN'T MEAN SHE CONSENTED." (Is there an r/nosleep thread? If so, I would love to kvetch about shit I've seen on it.) I can't find it, but it was written several years ago about some guy and his fat friend going into the woods to investigate the suicide of some other guy and there was a scary ghost story within about some widow and some bells or something. Amy was the widow's name I think.

EDIT: Found it. It was called The Spire in the Woods.

I wouldn't have that much of an issue with 4231 if it was a tale instead of an SCP. Anyway, next:

SCP-6670 - I really like this one. Something about a confined mass of flesh trapped and in pain hits that sweet spot for me. Then again my favorite stories are basically those that end up with someone forever trapped in agony so it's a bonus. But also idk something about the horror of a giant square of flesh. But no I really like highlighting the poverty and how the stupid-ass mother should have been less selfish instead of cutting off her parents for some retarded reason. The poor kid. :( This is what happens when parents put themselves ahead of their children! They become giant blocks of flesh.

I don't think I've actually enjoyed any SCP past the number 4000. Also, what's gonna happen when they get to 10,000? because honestly that'll just start to look retarded once it gets that long so they'd be better off using letters alongside it so the first one would be A1.
In my eyes SCP stopped being good once it gained popularity among redditors in the mid to late 2010s and the youtube channels picked it up flooding the community. The only good thing that came out of it was Lord Bungs series which even then was very tumblr coded but he was always one of the more edgy types (based off his videos from before confidment) so it wasn't as bad as some other SCP series I've come across.
The best thing the SCP community could do is purge every SCP after 5000 and get rid of the retarded authors ruining the site with their fanficy self insert "doctor mega sexy man who is le chaotic neutral" bullshit.

Of course. The tranny satellite obsessed with Homestuck is a blatant self-insert. A quick search for his name (or for kate, rather) on the farms gets you a pretty good idea of who he is, including a kiwi who decided to take one for the team and buy his nudes. I refuse to look through and link it. Awful person in every way by everyone who's ever met him it seems.

(Yes, she acknowledges that, but she says that the cringe is what makes it work.)
I hate people who use this reasoning for just about anything. It's the bootstrap argument, a term I just pulled from my ass. The fault is in of itself the excuse for why the fault is not in fact actually a fault. It completely ignores the consequences of having the fault and ultimately implies all subsequent problems that come from it are non-issues. It's like if I strapped a bunch of 10 million lumen lights to my car and cause a 100 mile pile-up on the highway but my response is "BUT IT WORKS BECAUSE IT'S A BAD IDEA!" It's totally disconnected from the actual results as a way to ignore the mass murder I committed. But enough about last Tuesday.

Ah yes, poorly hidden politics-driven drivel disguised as linguistic analaysis. As soon as this thing started calling people "Nazis" and "Fascists" it immediately made me discredit their entire argument.
Rather than actually look into more of the complaints people had about this SCP, they say they're transphobic Nazis, typical of Leftoids with no real argument, Just say you like the story you goblin.
Also the whole "Fascists don't want you to emphasize with marginalized people or people different from them" part at the end is just retarded because some of the best writers would be considered right-wing and "fascist" today. You can emphathize with the story of an immigrant coming to America and his struggles without wanting to import 5 billion undocumented browns from Latin America, they're not mutually exclusive.
Overall, just a fag rying to act like a serious literary analyst when the whole video is just their own excuse to defend a shitty story and brigade against its detractors.

Even if this was a valid argument to make it falls flat anyway because when you point out that the article is cringe you get fucking banned. People don't generally get banned for disliking articles, so spare me this gay logician larp dear SCP trannies and at least admit you're protecting a certain faggot's feefees at the cost of the site's standard of quality.

>It's bad on purpose! That means you're not allowed to criticize it for being bad! The work accomplished what it set out to do and that automatically means it's good!
I hate this argument. Shouldn't someone who actually really did want to make a bad work feel good about receiving the criticism appropriate to such a work? Why would you expect to receive equal praise for making something bad (incredibly easy) as for making something good (very difficult)? Why should audiences base their treatment of the work on your impression of it and not their own?
What they really want to say is "But I think I did a good job so you have to think so too!" but they have to do extra mental gymnastics to get there because even they can't ignore how much their work sucks.

I just remembered an old SCP that was basically The Stuff from, well, The Stuff. I don't remember its number, I just thought of it because I miss low-stakes shit that isn't an ontological nightmare.
I believe you're thinking of SCP 447, a minty green slime that is useful as a fuel additive, rust remover, toothpaste, and general miracle substance, so long as it is never ever ever combined with a dead body.
