The whole Cerastes shit show is over. ProcyonLotor, or in chat Corvus, ever the acid spitting man-child, stood his ground on his sinking ship by removing Cerastes from Licensing. What puzzles is how he even got to be the captain of two teams. We've all read what he's done, and staff ever seeing this guy as worthy or mature leader of children is bothersome. With how much he speaks about hating flaming his own staff, he sure as hell seems to like it. To end it, Dexanote decided to give his little "I'm sorry" sentence to Cerastes and fuck off, which definitely seems like something this weak admin would do. I honestly think staff wanted someone to throw under the bus and pinned it all on a poor newbie staff member for dramas sake.

Seven months after flailing to mop up the fallout from AdminBright and other high-profile members being ousted as predatory pedophiles that the SCP staff protected and enabled, 3 years after advertising NSFW content on the front page on a site well known by all involved to have a demographic of primarily 15-18 year olds, and over ten years of some of the most autistic and microscopically pedantic bureaucracy on the internet, SCP staff have finally decided to put a content warning splash page to all adult/sexual/NSFW material on the site.

A little useless now since they’ve increased the age of entry to 18 anyway. Maybe this would have been more useful 12 years ago. But it’s said this will help those minors who are grandfathered into the site navigate the debauched perversion of the authors until they are 18 and I guess can join in.

At the same time, creeps like Uncle Nicolini & Randomini, the IRL harassers of children like ProcyonLotor and DrMann and djkaktus, the abuse enablers like taylor_itkin, remain on the site and in positions of authority or prestige.

They’ll waste their time virtue signaling with moves like this & by disciplining non-offenders like Cerastes instead.

They (and Bright) brought the Lolrandom and fanfiction.net tier story garbage with their little OCs, which I'm certain helped attract the Tumblr crowd. If the site slapped that shit down early on maybe it wouldn't be as shit up as it is today, but they practically owned the site at the time.

The YouTube algorithm recommended this to me last night and I wasn't disappointed. This is the first SCP related thing I've looked at in a while. Pretty interesting and creative, I think. At first I assumed this would be a joke SCP because of the unofficial name of the SCP.

Spoiler: TL;DR

The House of Hapsburg, arguably most famous for being inbred as all hell, keeps their most deformed inbreds in special underground housing away from the public eye. They are cared for normally. They begin to become more and more depraved with each passing day (i.e. requesting dead bodies for food instead of regular food) and begin to breed amongst themselves. They have weird genetics that prevents them from being sterile (as super-inbreds tend to be) and they reproduce at higher rates than normal humans. They developed their own underground society of sorts and still operate underground. They are cannibals. Despite being inbred monstrosities they still have a surprising level of intelligence and can speak. They speak mostly German and Latin. They are unofficially called "The Aristocrats."

Honestly these sorts of videos are fun to watch but the voice ruins it for me

They also take a longass time to do anything related to improving the site. They spend a lot of time and manpower micromanaging the userbase and barely any doing normal technical shit. Of the technical tasks, they prioritize the ones that help them keep on micromanaging (like the 'improvements' that Bluesoul apparently made to their IRC).

This is a constant with any ostensibly "democratic" online community: better technology = more pervasive bureaucracy. It's like the human-resources equivalent of Andy and Bill's law.

Oh I watch Dr.Bob regularly, and he is really good. TheRubber honestly is not good for anyone wanting to listen to SCP since the voice is grating and feels too silly for SCP (mainly the more horrifying ones)
