Null is planning on streaming this game because someone will give him money if he plays it. Any bets on how long it will take him to finish it?

I loved it.

The thing I love about From's games is they feel very much like many Japanese games felt during the PS2 era, just with more advanced tech.

IMO, the game, so far, isn't that hard once you get the mechanics down (there's just little margin for error; make 1 or 2 mistakes and you'll have to do a long section over again and fight through 20+ enemies).

EDIT: Nevermind, my memory was of - in Rising you can guard enemy attacks, but you have to time it with their attack - also the enemies have much higher HP; so parrying it much more fundamental to the game on higher difficulties if you want to kill them fast. In Sekiro, you can just break an enemy's guard and deliver an insta-kill.

Part of the charm is discovering what weapon works better against a particular enemy, yeah you can get cheap shots and chip their hp but the optimal strategy is destroying their guard bar and nailing a Deathblow, a example i learned in my second playthrough is that Isshin is weak to the axe

I bought this almost a year ago and didn't start playing until now.

Gameplay is kind of like Metal Gear Rising, but with more exploration. Personal opinion is that you basically have to master parrying/deflecting if you want to be good at it. (Some of the bosses are basically unkillable unless you run out their stamina meters by parrying their attacks over and over).

I started playing through Sekiro again and now that I’m thinking about it, it’s really noticeable how much more difficult it is than the Soulsborne games. Assuming you’re on NG and don’t really care about multiplayer, those games give the player a sort of advantage in that you can level up stats as much as you want by grinding and there’s almost always an NPC or two available to be summoned for a boss fight. Sekiro doesn’t really allow for either of those things, and it makes a difference.

I'm debating still.

It's not that I'm scared of the difficulty but rather I've never played a souls game before lol. And I've heard of legitimate controller throwing frustration.

Is the less complicated of the Souls game because you dont have to worry about stats or equipment, if you played MG Revengeance you would get like 50% already of the game already

I have this game and my personal opinion is that while it's difficult, games like this are fairly simplistic, and basically just boil down to timing your dodges/parries.

Examples of game types I think are much harder than this or the majority of games listed in "Hardest Games Ever" lists:

*Shmups / bullet hells - I've beaten games like Dark Souls, Nioh, Sekiro, but most bullet hell games (e.x. Crimzon Clover, DoDonPachi Resurrection, Ikaruga) I can barely beat in 1 Credit even on the easiest difficulty.

*Racing sims - Trying to earn best times or racing against competent opponents is very hard, and a single wrong move can render you defeated for the entire race.

Just got the first upgrade for the prosthetic arm. Game is fun. Died a few times. I'm surprised people hate it (one of the very first top reviews on Amazon is someone who despised it and now apparently uses it as a coaster. No seriously.)

Don't dodge, jump or evade. Parry, wait, parry some more then strike when the red dot appears. Rinse and repeat.
Evading in this game causes bosses to spam their AoE attacks and OHKO your ass. Not like the idiotic tutorial, brainrotted fanbase or non-existent manual would tell you.

I completed this on the PS4 a few years ago. The Ape boss was impossible, and I cheesed the big devil thing later by making him fall off a cliff.
I just finished it again on PC, and it seemed much easier. Even beat the double Ape boss. I still had to cheese the big devil thing even though I tried (and failed) the norrmal way.

Just use the umbrella and evade Dark Souls style with the B button. Demon of Hatred is a laughably easy boss with the umblella, I can't understand its reputation
